I forgot one. 14U pitched from 43 ft on field #11 tonight. I didn't notice guess I am used to high school ball but one of my astute parents checked it after the game to confirm.

I think the entire quad was. Field #13 was also at 43 feet, and our pitchers are not in HS yet.

Yeah, what is up with no temp fences at a Qualifier. I guess since they made a good offering of 50$ they thought no one would notice the little things. Fences, porta johns, and a missing umpire. We played in a first year tourny at Danger that had all these things and I think they called it a WARM-UP. What a great tourny that was.

We played at just Treat City Tune Up and they had fences, two umps and automatic flushing toilets and sinks..... The not having two umps is unacceptable in my opinion.

I never saw a response about coolers but one of our players just got rejected at the gate with one, and there are at least 50 inside the park. With a gate fee and others inside, it seems odd to now start turning them away???

Also fields were drug at 1st game only and no relining between games. By the 2pm game - you could not see either base line.

On the positive side, the competition was great at 16U. All teams played hard and had a good time from that standpoint. But wouldn't go back next year.

I stopped by to watch a few games today and I was disappointed that for an ASA National qualifier the field conditions were poor and lack of regulation outfield fences is something that should be addressed.

Nice to see the national qualifier here in the Dayton area but the facilities have to be better and the fields should meet the ASA standards.

I do see a lot of griping on here about this and that, but overall I think the competition is good, and the tourney is running smoothly after dealing with all the girls still in school.
No fences affects everyone, and I know it cost us a couple of dingers today, but it is the same field for everyone to play on.
I wasn't really griping about the dust last night, but did think it could have waited until we left, but it was addressed and is a moot point now. Overall, good people running a good tourney.

Must add, my daughters got a little boost from Howard Carrier and Crystl Bustos and came out ripping the ball after meeting with them. I wondered who the massive man was giving my bigger twin private lessons during the game was, and someone said it was Howard, so I wisely let the go on. My smaller twin took to Crystl and was excited as heck to meet with her for a lesson and it paid off nicely.
Thanks to both. I think we'd love to have you both come out to Northmont for a Hammer hitting instruction day soon.
