Both, it's has a 150 ft square indoor playing field, 4 pitching and hitting cages, full gym to workout 4 classrooms. On the outside there is 4 fields. 1 dedicated for baseball only, one dedicated for softball, and two multi purpose fields. Three of them are astroturf. They run many free clinics for the general public. It is amazing and unfortunately under used. They have recruiting seminars and free recruiting videos. The Reds do everything the can do to get these girls and boys to college.
How is this not a top drawing org. in Ohio?!
I’ve seen them at local tourneys and they definitely carry large rosters (like 15). They have little/no fees to help attract kids who would otherwise not be able to afford to play.Rumor has it they roster a large amount of players on each team and not all players get asked to play each week.
This is a rumor I heard so take it for what it is. I don't have a daughter playing... was just told told this by a few players that have
either tried out or that has been on a rostered team. Not only that but they play in separate sanction.. (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) "Reds RBI." They compete with other
teams within their sanctioning... (Astros RBI, Rangers RBI, Chicago RBI)... they all compete against each other for a national event.
If this is all correct, maybe this is why they aren't as big a draw as one would think...
Maybe someone can clarify if its actually true or not...

To be nice, lets go with they have a unique way of doing things that prevents the best players from wanting to play for them.
Stedman you must not have seen their 16 18u showcase team play. They have beaten many of the top programs in ohio over the last couple years. They play a lot of games out of state. The last two years they have gotten 16 players to the next level. Their current team is young but they have 4 girls on the team that have a legit shot of playing d1. Especially their left handed pitcher who is an absolute beast and is only 14. They are starting to get some of the top players.

They actually have a policy to give priority to athletes that have played with them in prior years. So they have developed players that have moved on to college. Not necessarily the D1 level. They have also helped develop players that have moved on to name organizations as they got older. How long had these players been in their program?
The REDS RBI did not develop these players...
This is just another organization taking credit on the hard work these players done before joining their team... unfortunately this happens a lot.
A player plays 1 season with a team then next thing you know their name is on their website being advertised as that team got them recruited.

I dont understand why people choose to trash an organization they know little or nothing about. Why cant we just be pleased these girls are getting a chance to keep playing. Every organization has players that have moved in for whatever reason. The Doom has them, the Hawks have them, the Outlaws have them, the Bandits definitely have them. Does it really matter in the end. A coach or organization should never get but hurt over a player moving on to another challenge or opportunity. They should be wishing the player well and continuing to help them if able. They should also be asking what they could have done to provide those players that left the opportunities they desired.I believe this is only their 5th year in existence. Very hard to believe they have "developed" 16 players that have moved on to college.

Seen them play. Know how they operate. and to put it mildly, not super impressed. Could it have changed within last 2 seasons? Sure, but I'll make it a point to watch their team at Recruitfest in 7 days. And will report back.
