Tess Sito throws a no-hitter against Amherst and contributes a double and a homerun on offense. Best player in the state in my opinion.

Best of luck to Elyria as they advance to regionals and hopefully on to get that state championship to represent Lorain County softball.

North Canton Hoover still alive but not with the same quality of pitching. Perhaps this will be the year Elyria slays its dragon.

Ditto for the Lady Pioneers. This is the year they'll get it done.

Don't count Hudson out. That would be the match-up to watch for.

Elyria just has trouble with the "H" teams ... Hoover & Hudson. Elyria is OBVIOUSLY a great program with proven past history, and recent great-ness as well. Three state finals in a row! Would love to see Hudson & Elyria reprise 2007 in the Finals, just getting back there is a major accomplishment, though. Can't think of anybody I would rather see win it than Elyria, other than the home town HHS team.

P.S. - Sito is an EXCELLENT hoops player as well.

Good luck to the Pioneers!

Go Explorers!

I've been trying to figure out who you are by your posts for some time now, Pickledad. Perhaps we've crossed paths offline at some point, or maybe not. I have 2 young daughters in the Storm program.

Go Lady Explorers!!:yahoo:

LOL - if you guess right (via pm), I will buy first round beverage of your choice at Old Whedon (DB's place). My dd plays 14u summer travel with DB's dd, and is a frosh @ HHS ... :)

Storm has been good to HHS softball, keep that pipeline rolling (thank you Mr. Bryan D.).
You understand, of course, this is just an excuse to patronize OWG and talk fastpitch!! :yahoo:

Now that there are 16 teams left in each division, who do you think will be the final 4 in each division?

Elyria is definitely the favorite coming into this one. Sito is one of the best pitchers in the state. If Brecksville can generate some offense it should be a very good game. Brecksville has a nice young pitcher in Aleks Radjen and Kristen Towne and company have some good bats. If the Pioneers look past them it will be a mistake.Go Bees!
