10U Fees

I heard a few different people commenting on organization fees. Mainly the 10u. Is there really teams asking $900 plus for kids to play at this age? Is this to help fund the older teams traveling? I have no facts but that is what I was hearing on the "street". Seems stiff to me.

You need to find out what $900 gets you.

Uni's? 2?
Bag?
Ringors?
Indoor practice facility?
Etc.

Depends on number of tournaments. Tournaments range from 350-500+. If you play in 2 fall, then 8 summer and add friendlies, uniforms, insurance, sanctioning, equipment, etc it will add up quickly. And don't forget the coaches wife collects Coach purses. JK

We played travel for quite a few years at basic to elite levels so I understand costs. My point was that seems to be really steep for this age especially when the teams I heard about are playing mostly local tournaments. But to each their own I suppose.

I know of one team whose fees went from the 350-400 range last year to 650-700 this year.....and they are fielding less teams then last year!

The TD'S will continue to raise their pricing as long as we keep going. When I first started the tournaments were $200.00 to $300.00 each and now they are anywhere from $500.00 to $800.00 or more. of course this is for your elite and showcase tournaments, but either way, it is getting ridiculous.

I would guess that when umpire fees go down, field rental fees go down, insurance rates go down, the cost of game balls goes down, maintenance crew fees go down, association fees go down, etc then the entry fees will go down.

When I used to pay $200 for a tournament it was double elimination. I don't want to go back to those days. I want the $2,500-$3,000 my parents spend a weekend for room and board to at least get their kid a 5 game guarantee.

Don't forget to factor in a day of lost pay for the Friday everyone is forced to take off to complete the pool play.

It could be worse. My son and nephew play travel baseball. Some of the top teams last year at 10u were 900-1200 plus fundraisers. I am paying $900 this year plus another $175 for uniforms and a helmet. The bat bag is extra as well! My 15u nephew's player fee was $2100 and my brother spent another 8K in travel expenses for the family.

That's amazing , With what that organization ($$). made
for putting on one of the biggest tournaments this past summer, But then
again, that organization. is for PROFIT. Wonder how that new
Custom house they built is coming along!!?!!

What about the 18-U Girls, Their fees should only be 350.00 plus the cost
of uniform. That's good for 5-6 tournaments plus coaches fee and all other
expenses to field a team of 12-13 players.
Why the high price for them, They aren't involved in any organization
clinic's, They can't practice during fall or winter, They are in 1st year
collage or their senior's in high school with other programs during fall or
winter. Most of them are already committed to collage.

We have received a ton of calls/inquiries about our fees, and since we don't hide anything- here they are:

$650-$750 per player. The lower price gets you seven tournaments, the higher price gets you ten. Here is what is included:

- Two Boombah uniforms, Rip-it helmet, and bat bag
- Tourney entries and ASA registration and insurance
- Weekly practice at T3 Performance (two hour sessions) during the winter
- Weekly speed/strength training (one hour session) by certified T3 instructors
- Nutrition seminars for parents hosted by T3 Staff

Thanks for being up front with your teams fees for the year.
With that being said, WHAT'S the 18 U fees?
It'll be pretty hard to play 7 weekends? with all the girls H.S.Grad's party thru out the yr. and all.
Most can't practice fall or winter due to collage & H.S. Ball.
Most 18U teams started playing games 2 week/3rd week of June this year.
Are you going to be reducing their Fees?

this debate always comes up and many get blasted for $... what should the cost be... ?

Bang for the buck is in the eye of the beholder I'm certain. Maybe we should start another thread for this but I'm curious to see what the feedback is.

Not sure what the correct answer would be for each but for example: At 10u we practiced indoors twice a week (had a good deal) played pumpkin smash in the fall, Garretsviille and Spano tournies in the winter, Lasers, Stingrays, States, Strongsville and a few local in the summer. Got top of the line uniforms, helmets and bat bags. $650.00...That's why I started this. What else could you get when pushing a grand? It also included entry to ASA Eastern. Qualified but the whole team did not want to go. I started this for 10u because entries are less and travel is usually less than the older girls.

High schoolers can practice with their travel teams up until the H.S. team makes their "cuts" at tryouts.
And I doubt that many college ball players have the time to put into travel ball anymore...
