10u Friendly - Apr 24th - Smith Park, SWO

We had several teams ask if we would run another 10u friendly...

We are looking for 6-8 teams - that want to play 3 games at 1:20 each, no new inning. That keeps us on a 90 min game schedule. Games will start at 11am and finish around 5pm. Cost is $125 to cover fields and umpires.

We will follow the same format we did last week and last fall http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=20844 - all teams then had a great time and it was a great afternoon of softball. We will run some concessions - teams will get a 1 hour break between games to eat and rest.

Things went really smooth last weekend and the fields were in great shape. It was nice to let the girls compete for other positions during a live game. This helps you to see who can play where, under pressure. Very nice job on the fields and umpiring as well.

If weather is bad we will call coaches at 11am Sat with a determination... If we get a couple games in it will be worth it... we will reduce cost if we don't get all the games in as well... just wanna play some ball!

Thanks for being flexible... we are going to play by ear tomorrow morning... please shoot me your phone numbers in a PM so I can call you by 10am and let you know. If somehow Sat is a wash, we can go Sunday (weather permitting around 11am - 1pm - again depending on field conditions)

We will plan on scrimmaging Sunday. Hope all 4 teams can make it Sunday. I know we are playing it by ear because of the weather but hopefully we can get started around 10 - 11 and get 3 games in.

Games are cancelled due to bad weather. Some teams have shown interest in next weekend. Let me know if this interests anyone and we will try to get it together. Thanks to all the teams and parents for being so patient this weekend and working through the weather.
