To all players and parents...take a step back and analyze your entire season. Champions, at any level are a special breed, there are many factors that go into winning at every level of every sport. Truely look at all that you did, and did not do and make a strong mental note. Remember the specifics of this season and do all that you can from here on out to repeat these things.

Congratulations from an old coach who has seen (almost) everything. Cherish this moment, but more importantly learn from it and defend the specific details that helped make it all work until your girls are done with the sport.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. This was truly a special season for me. You see my daughter "Munch" is a 16U Elite player who tore her ACL playing fastpitch. I have always coached her teams. And then in an instant she was out for the 2010 season. My family has dedicated 8 summers to her and her love. So we didn't know what to do. Then at the coaches meeting the 10U manager had to step down for other family obligations. And it was said as a joke well why don't we give the team to Munch shes not busy next summer. So I told her the comment and her eye's lite up. She said excitedly Can I, Can I really coach them. So I called the President and told him that she wanted the team. He asked if I was willing to take it with her since she is a minor. Of course my answer was yes. I will do anything for her. The BOD voted and they let her take the team. So through the help of many people in the Hurricanes we built the team up from 6 players to the National Champions that they are today. You see what made this so special was coaching with my daughter and growing closer to her as a young adult rather then a child. She has now seen the game through my eye's while she is still a player. I worked with her and together we, with the help of coach Bryan we taught the 10U Ohio Hurricanes Black how to play Fastpitch and they taught us how to be Champions!!!

So one more time thank you and See you next Summer!!!!

Munch, Matt and Bryan, thanks for all the time and effort with the girls. I am very proud of the team and how they played all year. Good sports, great attitudes and they kept learing with you coaching and had fun. Thanks for helping my youngest daugheter learn to love the game and what its all about.
