I've seen alot of very good teams at this age group. It's amazing how this sport has develped over the last few years. Five years ago 10u teams were far and few between in the select group. It will be a thrill to watch these youngsters grow over the next 7-8 years.

The Wild thangs and the Lazers are very good. the Ohio Wave is another team that hits the ball very hard just needs more consitant pitching always a problem in 10u unless your blessed. Stingrays are tough.

The best part of the 10U is watching girls grow and learn the game as the season goes on...

Lasers Gold has come a LONG way since losing to Indiana Thunder and another team earlier this year in Fort Wayne. Their hitting line-up has come together and is downright nasty, with multiple girls going yard this year. Have not seen too much of 10u other than Laser Gold this year, sure there are some other very good teams also, as mentioned.

Would love to see them tangle again with some of the Indiana teams which gave them battles earlier in the year, not sure who would win, but the games would be fun.

Here is some interesting stuff RE Thunder though, and one of their pitchers. Two years ago my kid played for a 10u Sapphires team at NSA B nationals in Chattanooga. Indiana Thunder won that tournament. Funny thing though was that their best pitcher was a tiny little lefty blond haired pigtailed "8u", who was traveling down to Chattanooga in a pickup truck when it flipped over, lucky to be alive (probably - not sure of details) let alone pitching that week!! So this little "8u lefty showed up to pitch with stitches and bandages in Chattanooga and was dominant, at 10u. Well, I was talking with a 12u Thunder parent at Compuware, and she is still pitching for the 10u Thunder. So, my guess is that their pitching is ... well, solid. Heard both her parents are pretty tall, so if/when she gets her growth spurt, look out.

I must agree with the Indiana Thunder pitcher! We played her last year and then saw her again this year at Toledo...great player and very consistent! She will be one to watch develop over the years! Wonder if she wants to move to central Ohio :)

This is my third yr . at 10's .Unbelievable at what these kids are doing at 10 yrs. old . The competetion is stellar (at my level anyways) ,I am truly a fan of these girls and this sport .This is my first year of coaching and it has been a blast .I have had good teachers before me and good help this year .I am also very proud of the fact that I have great parents and that 9 of my kids are within 2 minutes of each other and two are only about ten minutes away .There is something to be said about that. Thanks to all who even mentioned Vikings elite 10 U .
Best 10 U teams Ive seen this year are in no particular order
Classics
Olentangy
Wave
Extreme
Inferno
Stingrays
Without even seeing them I know the Lasers are the team to beat ,But realistically they should be ,great organization ,great coaching ,= Great Team.

Coach Ellis --Did your 10's come down and play in Wild Thang tourney last month ? I did'nt get to see all the games. If you would like to travel south and see some good WV teams and our bunch come down and check us out in the fall tourney (Sept 15-16th) . I agree about the excitement level of 10u ball, My DD is playing 12u, but I really love watching the 10's. MD

We watched some 10u games in Toledo a couple weeks ago, and the 10U Stingrays looked pretty good. They had a cute little dark-complected pitcher who had quite an arm and looked like she had several pitches. The team hit very well, too. They seemed to have solid defense.

The Indiana Thunder pitcher was awesome. We haven't seen the Lasers play yet, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about them.

Also, your record is only as good as the tournaments you play in and the teams you play against. Your record can be 75-0 and if you only play in "B" level tourneys or rec-level teams, then that's not saying much. I guess it just depends on the coach as to how you want to do it! Just my opinion, though, whatever that's worth!!! ha ha

Thanks sftballfan11, that's my dd that pitches for the Stingrays 10U. ?She's only 9 and will play 10's again next year. ?She's not a bad pitcher. She's improving all the time. ?She loves the game and wants to learn, so it's a good mix. ?We have 2 other excellent pitchers as well.

We have a decent team; and our coaches are good, too. ?My dd loves all the ? ? s on her team, they all seem to get along and play together very well. ?We have seen some great competition this year. ?The Indy Dreams and the Indiana Thunder were excellent teams. ?The Wave is a great group of ? ? s that we have seen many times this year. ?Also, the Vikings Elite, Danger, Inferno, Extreme, Dragons, and Classics have all been good competition. ?I'm sure there are others I am forgetting. ?We have yet to face the Lasers, but I'm sure that's coming up in the NSA states. ?We've seen them play, they're a tough team.

I can't really speak for the teams I haven't seen play, but I was truly impressed by the talent at the Whitehall Tournament this past weekend. The Ohio Classic & Heart of Ohio Extreme were in the finals. Both teams were very impressive. The girls could catch, run, throw and were looking for runners after the play was made at their base. You gotta give some credit to the coaches for teaching these girls so well. I have no affiliation with either team, but was very impressed by how well these girls played at the 10U level. Watching these girls play was so unlike my own dd 10U experience, which was totally miserable. We only won 1 game all season and we were lucky most of the time if the pitcher could throw a strike, let alone a changeup. It was heartening to see that there really is some awesome talent at this level.
