10u Thunder Elite Wins Akron Summer Slam

Thunder Elite beat the Ohio Ice 8-2 to win the Akron Racer Summer Slam held at Firestone Stadium. The bats came alive in the Championship game scoring 7 runs in the first two innings. Our pitching kept the Ice hitters off balanced and our Defense was solid. This was the 5th meeting between us this season. (season series 3 to 2 Thunder Elite)

Don, We Love playing your team. It really brings the best out in my girls as they continue to rise up to the challenge.

Way to go Thunder!! I am very proud of you!!

Thanks Guys! The atmosphere inside Firestone Stadium was great. The girls loved it when their name was announced during the game.

We played the Diamond Chix twice over the weekend as well. Very impressed with Brents team. Nice pitcher.

Dan, We cant wait to get there. Hope the weather is good. I hear they have been getting pounded down that way the last few weekends with rain.

Congratulations Thunder Elite. Beating the Ice is no easy task. They are very good so I'm sure your girls are playing well to come out on top. Look forward to seeing you in Marion this weekend. Heard good things about that Akron Racers Tourney. Great experience for the girls and families. Wonder if it always conflicts with ASA State. Again though...great win in Akron.
