good point about the 8th graders. Fair enough. good explanation Doug. I can see where you're coming from on. Good luck to all, whether its 12u or 14u.

Not only are the 9'th graders not playing 14U, but schools that have middle school programs are not able to play. So this limits some of the good players from playing early. Now that these kids are being released the 14U talent pool starts getting better. So it makes sense to play up if you have a talented 12U team, early in the year. Tiger Town is a good tourney over the years to do just that.

Does anyone know the rules for our neighboring states? ?Is this only an OHSAA (Ohio) thing ??

If my memory serves me right. Ky doesn't have this stupid rule. I think Indiana is like us.

I would like thank Tim and the guys(and Patty) for a well run tournament this weekend. everyone was very helpful and Shock 12u thanks all of you!

I will second that Shockcoach1...

Tim and his crew kept the games on time and in most cases were ahead of schedule all weekend. They kept the fields raked and lined when needed.

Great work guys!!!
