Assistant Coaches: Steve Anderson (3rd year), Bryan Peak (6th year), Kristina Ross (18 yrs playing, graduated collegiate scholarship recipient, 6th year), David Wisman (6th Year) and John Jacobs (5th year).

TEAM DESCRIPTION:
The Cincy Static Neon '01/'02 team based out of Harrison, OH is heading into its sixth season as a team. Our 2016 team was 12 strong and comprised of seven freshman who all went on to make their HS Varsity squads. In each of the last five seasons we have qualified for and played in the ASA "A" Nationals (10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U). In 2014 we qualified for the ASA Hall of Fame, USSSA World Series and the USFA WS as well but as usual we elected to play in the 12U "A" ASA/USA Nationals. Our schedule in 2014 was mainly ASA "A" (three 12U "A" ASA/USA NQ tournaments, one 12U "A" ASA HOF NQ, two ASA ENQ) but we also played in such great events as Stingrays PGF, USFA State tourney and USSSA WSQ as well. Our Schedule for the 2015 summer season was very similar to our 2014 season but we improved it by adding Fire in the Sky ASA in Orville, OH which hosted 96 14U teams that year and The Stars and Stripes PGF College Showcase Invitational in Chicago, IL. Our 2015 fall schedule included plenty of practice, friendlies, ASA/USA Fall National qualifiers and PGF Showcase events where we finished well. Our 2016 summer schedule consisted of One ASA "A" ENQ (Firefighters Memorial), four ASA/USA "A" NQ's (Dayton Metro, QCUQ, Heatin It Up and Fire In The Sky which hosted 108 14U teams in 2016 OH), a week long ASA softball vacation event (YSN KY) and PGF College Showcase Invitationals (Stars and Stripes and Chicago Classic IL). We played against teams representing Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Toronto Canada. In the winter our players will attend camps, we will workout indoors and maybe do a couple of highly competitive indoor tournaments up until high school cut offs. We usually start our summer schedule at the end of May due to HS ball but as soon as enough players are available we will start. The 2016 summer schedule will be similar to this past season with a couple of subtractions to make room for a couple more nice Showcase Invitationals to be added to an already great schedule. I am heading into my 21st season coaching and developing fastpitch players. I have a seasoned staff of coaches that include former collegiate players and varsity coaches. The coaches on our teams go the extra mile by attending the best coaching clinics available. We are also closely affiliated with what we consider to be the best pitching, hitting/slapping and catching instructors in the area. This very special team will be comprised of a group of committed players, parents and coaches that are dedicated to seeing every player achieve their goals...noNe dividEd and One uNited!!!

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR 2017:
Fall tournaments and Showcase Invitationals, College light the fire event, Indoor tournaments/camps, Indoor winter workouts, Individual Showcase Events. We have ALWAYS played a very competitive summer schedule that includes ASA/USA A National Qualifiers/State tournaments (Dayton Metro, Heatin it up, Cincy Metro, QCUQ, Orville Fire In The Sky which hosted 108 14U teams this year and ASA States), PGF College Showcases (Stingrays in Columbus, OH and Stars and Stripes in Chicago, IL, Chicago Classic), USFA State tournaments (eliminated), a couple of USSSA World Series Qualifiers (eliminated) and each season we have qualified for and played in ASA A Nationals. In 2016 we will replace two of our events with two more highly sought after College Showcase Invitational events.

CINCY STATIC NEON '01/'02 TEAM NEEDS 2017: We will consider ALL positions...playing time is earned!!!
PITCHER= We will consider a strong pitcher/position player...must have great control and good command of multiple pitches.
CATCHER= We will consider a strong catcher/position player...must have a strong bat.
MIDDLE INFIELD= We will consider a strong middle infielder with speed...slapper or power would be a plus.
CORNERS= We will consider a strong corners player...preferably 1st base...must have strong bat.
OUTFIELD= We will consider a strong, speedy outfielder/utility...slapper or power would be a plus

Any player who intends to tryout for our team must possess the three A's...ATTITUDE (a good one...lol), ACADEMICS (good grades) and Athleticism (talent). She and her family MUST be committed to this sport above all others with the long term goal of playing at the next level. DISTANCE is not an issue...as long as you can make a long Sunday afternoon practice, are self motivated enough to do your work at home during the week and can make all tournaments we will consider you. We currently have several players traveling considerable distances to be a part of this team.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Our goal is to not only continue to develop stellar athletes who go on to play at the next level but more importantly to develop quality human beings and productive citizens who value honesty, loyalty and integrity. Many important life lessons are learned through competition and "competition breeds success"! We stress the importance of our players possessing what we call "the three A's", ATTITUDE(a good one), ACADEMICS(good grades)and ATHLETICISM (talent)! These three attributes are required in a player that seeks to garner a collegiate scholarship. Ultimately it is our goal to help these ladies in their efforts to receive a great collegiate education while playing the sport they love!

Three of the basic ingredients in a successful team is strong pitching, great defense and timely hitting with an emphasis on fundamentals, development and a belief in our organizations motto: "Successful Teams Achieve Through Individual Commitment"

COST: $600-$800 after sponsor monies
We have been fortunate over the years to have sponsorship money contributed to our team to keep playing costs to a minimum. Without any sponsorship monies the cost would be approximately $1000 per player. the cost in 2013 was $550 per player after sponsor credits of $400 per player. In 2014 the cost was $600 per player after sponsor credits of $400 per player. In 2015 we did not have the same level of sponsorship money contributions but still kept fees to $800. In 2016 we were able to keep fees at $800 after sponsor credits.

I want to thank those players who have attended at a private workout thus far. We have just begun this process and have not offered anyone a spot at this point. We will continue to look at players over the coming weeks as we search for those right fits. We are still considering players for ALL positions!

Thanks,

Coach Sonny
