Well, so much for predictions, I thought the top 4 wouldn't get displaced.......thanks to the Ice for making me eat my words. I have seen them play several games and they have the makings of a truly special team. Nice mixture of speed and power, with a near flawless defense. I believe they are a 97 team which makes their maturity that much more special.

Good job to all teams on this list :)

Played at the Valley Extreme tourney this past weekend, and saw Blue play...TOUGH team, without a doubt! Gave up only 1 run in 3 games of pool play, and were consistently tagging the ball to the deep outfield...solid team

I'm assuming you are talking about VE Blue? Did they win the tournament, any notable victories?

Ohio Ice is mostly 97's but has 3 96's on the team. They are a very solid lineup top to bottom.

Happy to see our friends at OFC Heat 96 get on the board. At the Dayton Metro they lost their first bracket game to Stingrays-Leedy then went into the loser bracket and won the next four games losing the fifth game to Ohio Ice. Ohio Ice and Stingrays-Leedy then played for a spot in the champ game against Lasers Gold. Based on that OFC Heat should be in the top 10, IMHO.

Just the facts, Ohio Ice has one 96, one 98 and the rest 97's

Doesn't really matter, they are a solid team that can hit the ball hard top to bottom in their lineup.

Yes, I was referencing Valley Extreme Blue, sorry for the confusion, I did forget that several other "Blues" were there from other organizations :) We (Hawks 97 Hoff) lost in the semi's to a pretty tough Silver Creek Starzz team 2-0 so I do believe we took 3rd place, thanks Merlion! The girls played well, the Starzz just played a little better that game. I do believe VE Blue won the tourney, we had a 5 hour drive back home, so did not get to stay for the final game. Whichever team won it, I am sure it was a great game.

Ice-Cole is not only a special team, but they have special coaches who understand the meaning of sportsmanship and "true coaching." We had two epic battles with them this weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better opponent! My "hat" off to them, they are the ultimate competitor~

VE Blue won the 14U championship 4-3 scoring winning run in bottom of 7th. VE lead most of game 3-0 with Silver Creek tying the game at 3-3 in top of 6th. Great game with strong pitching on both teams. VE also won pool play game against Silver Creek Saturday 1-0 (Silver Creeks only losses) which was another great game. VE Blue is very deserving of their top ten ranking and probably are a little lower then they should be. They have three very solid pitchers and good bats top to bottom. Silver Creek is a well coached team that has lots of speed to go along with power and pitching. I believe they are a '97 team and should make noise all summer.

I have heard good things about VE Blue. When you say they are deserving to be ranked higher.....have they played any of the teams in the top 10? Beat any of them? A lot of good teams faced off this weekend at the metro. It's a whole different story when you enter a tournament of this caliber, where every opponent has the ability and drive to compete with the best teams in Ohio.

COBETR18, thanks for the complements. Our team experienced a taste of real tough competition at the Dayto Metro. Playing top caliber teams such as yours is what makes them set the bar high.

I heard VE RED 97 gave VE BLUE a good game in the semi's. Overall, it was a nice weekend for Softball and most of the VE Teams did well on the field.
