14U EMT trainer position

The Barracudas centered in the Groveport/Columbus area is in search of a EMT..(PT/ATC) interested in fastpitch softball. To assure the safety of our team members during their developement this team position has become most important. The Barracudas are still in the construction phases and plan to maintain a 5 member staff. Each staff member will be working on assigned areas of player developement. Most injuries come from the running and pitching/throwing. The 2009 team conditioning program will require that the team have a member of the staff with knowledge of sports related injuries and the position can best be filled by a EMT. I think I'm a little confused. Are you looking for an EMT for safety reasons or are you looking for someone that has some extra training in sports-related injuries? I know a few EMTs but their knowledge of sports-related injuries & conditioning programs is LIMITED to say the least.

What we need if lucky enough to find one would be a PT or a ATC ? A certified staff member would be great. We know the developement of the ladies at this age is very important and having a team staff member that has the knowledge of sports related issues would be a plus. I know most teams do not carry such staff members but there are parents of players that would qualify for such a position while helping the team.

Only response I has recieved was go get a first aid kit... lol Well we have 2 of those already. Not many teams carry Medics on the bench. Our search will continue for a active parent interested in a team.
