My daughter is wanting to join a Travel team. . She has experience as a utility infielder as well as she is a very decent catcher. We currently live in the Medina area. Travel and practices shouldnt be any issues. If anyone has any information as to where she can attend some try outs it would be appreciated.

Sounds like she is eligible for 12U this year since she is still 12, she just has to be 12 on January 1st of the playing year (2014). She's pretty young to play 14U in that she'll be playing against some freshman and sophomore high school girls this year. My advice would be to find a 12U team and get her feet wet and kind of learn the ropes of travel ball and then next year tryout for an all 01 team made up of all 13 year olds to play 14U in 2015. Good luck and wish you and your daughter the best of luck! I'd look in the teams looking for players and go to some practices/tryouts and see what is a good fit.

Thank you very much for the advice... The guy that runs the team for her school district indicated to me that she would need to be in 14U cuz of her dob, but thank you for informing me that she can still utilize 12U.. That would definately be a better fit as she is still young and learning the ins and outs of the game. I really apreciate your assistance.

The Ohio Attack 14U is having private tryouts on Wednesday's and Saturday's in August until a few key positions are filled. Our private field for tryouts and practices are in Dalton, Wayne County.

FYI, 2001 birthdates have to play 14u for the 2015 season, tryouts start in August of 2014

If she has an 01 birth year she will need to play at the 14u age group in 2015. My daughter was born in May of 2001. We just finished up our 12u season and are having tryouts for our 13u team. We may play in a couple 13u tournaments but mostly playing in 14u's as a young 14u team. We were very competitive this year and have a very talented core group. We are looking to add a few pieces and start playing 14u fall ball and will play in an Oct 14u tourney to get the girls feet wet for the upcoming 2015 season. We will also play in a 14u dome league in Akron in Jan/Feb. Please check out our website at www.valleyforce01.com where you can find stats and other info as well.


Try outs will be for Valley Force 01 (13u/14u).

Please show up 30 minutes early to fill out paper work and be stretched and ready to go*on time.

We are looking for another pitcher and utility players.

We will roster top 15 for fall ball and Oct tourney. *From that point we will take top 11 for our upcoming 2015 season.
