Congratulations to all of the girls on 14U MC Madness Red that brought home the 2013 ASA Eastern B National Championship trophy from York PA this past weekend. They truly came to play as they "SWEPT" National's. They never lost a game and quickly became the team to beat from day one. It was truly a fun few days of softball watching these girls play tremendous offence and defense. Way to go!

Congrats on your wins...

No doubt! To win any of them you have to string together some pretty good softball with some pretty talented kids. That's always fun to watch. Great accomplishment MC Madness. Congrats!

Nice job in winning the event . I will add that not listing any details at all of what you won and just posting " WE ARE ASA NATIONAL CHAMPS " leaving out the B level and " Eastern " or " regional " makes me as a reader think you were attempting to hide it . . You can get mad at me or whatever but as a reader just collecting info about who won what event I would have ZERO , NO problem at all if you would have just posted -- " MC MADNESS ASA EASTERN B NATIONAL CHAMPS " but when you leave out important details about what level you were playing it makes it appear you were attempting to hide it . Just an honest opinion . There was some chest pounding about " sweeping" and " we were the team beat" along with news of the tourney win. So dont be offended when its pointed out exactly what you won. tell the whole story from the beginning and no one will be able add a single thing . congrats on the win and bringing home the hardware .

Wow... well let me think? It was sunny, then it rained... it was in the low 80's.... we did have a rain delay Saturday night and had to finish Sunday.. Seriously, tell the whole story? You know, it's so easy to just be happy and post something nice and positive about the girls and their big win - but there will always be people like you, having to criticize anything and everything just to be sure everybody sees you instead of the kids. You know, if you had a question, then you could have just asked. Way to make this post all about you-ManitouDan.

Itsagirlzthing - with all due respect, I don't think he was downplaying your teams accomplishment. He was simply pointing out that your subject line and post was very misleading. Your edit of the body of the post certainly clarifies it and I am sure would have curbed any confusion had it been there when first posted.

BTW - nice job.

Yeah ManitouDan.......Y is it always about you?

Because when I first read the first post before the edit, I thought it was odd because ASA Nationals were this week.

Great win and great job by the Madness, no matter what National it is, I believe that is what
ManitouDan post was saying.

It has been my experience that to win a tournament your TEAM has to do the following:

- have solid pitching
- have timely hitting
- play as a team and keep it positive
- and play ERROR FREE

It is the last one that I think is the hardest. I do not know how many games at 14U are decided by 1 error on most likely a routine play. This should be celebrated. Playing error free and probably making a defensive play in a key game is usually what is needed. Especially at a large tournament.
