Brad, thanks for throwing some water on the fire...lol. I wasn't in Akron, but one of my DD's plays for the Doom and I talked with her Head Coach several times over the phone during the course of the tourney, and he talked very highly about your team. I kinda figured "Yeah" might be a teenager posting.

Is the Ice Newsome coming down for the Stingrays or GAPSS tourney? I always enjoy seeing a great matchup and hopefully I would be able to see it live instead of hearing about it. I never did ask Tim who pitched for us in the Championship game. I know that one of our Pitchers (Lauren Cullure) reminds me alot of Lauren McNeil, not just being tall and blond, but that jerky motion on her delivery. Anyway, hope you guys have a good year. I just hope the Ice storm stays behind the cold front when we play you...lol.

Ohio Ice Newsome will be at Stingray Tourney and looking forward to the competition, unfortunately we didnt move fast enough for the other tourney and got locked out. See you all on the diamond in the spring!!!

I doubt any of the Wolfpack Gold players are now playing for the Lasers Orange the Orange is the Lasers 13 year old team and I believe the former Wolfpack Gold players are now in their second year of 14.

Congratulations to the Doom and Ice Newsome. Sounds like a great tournament at the Spano Dome.

These facilities need to mix up the schedule. It would be nice if the 14u tournaments were on different weekends at different places so we could play in more than one or at least go watch another tournament. Spent my weekend at Galligher's watching my daughter and would have liked to have seen some of the Spano games also.

Catchfp, I have to agree that most of the ex-Wolfpack Gold players are true 14's. With that being said, I'm pretty familair with the Lasers Orange, and when I ask several parents where their new pitcher (#20-I believe her name was Cass) came from, they said that her and the 3rd baseman came from the Wolfpack Gold. They also picked up a very skilled catcher (#44) with a solid arm, who I beleive came from the Tidalwaves. It looks like the coaching staff made the right selections to have a sucessful year at 14U.

There are 4 ex-Wolfpack Gold players playing on Ice Newsome and 2 playing Lasers Orange.

Thanks for the information Ice #2 Dad. I know they were good last year, was surprised they folded! Was it a case of just not having enough interest at tryouts?
