16U Buckeye Heat - Yeater

The 14U Buckeye Heat - Yeater team is moving up to 16U next year with our current '03's and '04's. Looking to play a very competitive 16U schedule next year consisting of quality ASA and Showcase tournaments around Ohio. The current players on this team want to play in the very best tourneys, against the best competition, and where the college coaches are recruiting. If your goal is to play in college, than this team will help in preparing you to get to that level.
This team will practice year around at various locations in and around North Central Ohio. Will be looking for girls with a strong softball commitment in the Richland, Crawford, Morrow, Marion, Delaware, Knox, Ashland and surrounding counties.

With one tournament remaining we are currently open to private tryouts.

Priority going into next year...
#1) Pitcher with prior travel experience, taking lessons currently, and command of pitches, willing to work in a 2-3 pitcher rotation and can be utilized at other positions including the OF.

#2) Young athletes that love to play the outfield and understand the importance of that position!!! If you have speed and love tracking down that towering fly ball...then you will find plenty of playing time on this team

Additionally...
#1) Utility player - Someone that can play multiple positions and come in when needed to relieve starters in IF and OF positions. The right person, with the right attitude could work themselves into a starting role on this team.

#2) Strong bat with power. Need players that can drive in runs and is a HR threat when they step in the box.

#3) Lefty Slapper with speed/short game specialist

Coming off a 2nd place finish this past weekend we are now into tryout mode and looking for 3-4 young athletes who want to play with great teammates, awesome families, and play in tournaments that will get you in front of college coaches while building fundamentals and skills necessary to reach your goals!!! 16U Buckeye Heat '03 will be holding a tryout tomorrow from 9:00-11:00 at Westerville South HS (303 S Otterbein Ave, Westerville, OH 43081).

We are currently looking for...
(1) Pitcher - prior travel experience, taking lessons currently, and command of pitches, willing to work in a 2-3 pitcher rotation and can be utilized at other positions including the OF.
(2) Catcher - prior travel experience, strong arm, defensive leader
(3) Utility Player - Someone that can play multiple positions and come in when needed to relieve starters in IF and OF positions. The right person, with the right attitude could work themselves into a starting role on this team.
