I've been hearing conflicting stories. One says that all 16u & 18U teams will be throwing from 43 feet this summer in all sanctions while others say that it's up to the individual tournament director to maker that determination.
Can somebody point me to the right answer?

Go to PlayNSA.com they have an online rule book, I am pretty sure that USSSA and Pony are also online.

USSSA requires 43 ft for 16U this year--it does provide some flexibilty for the 14U age group this year-- 43 ft will be mandatory in 2011 for 14U

So, type slowly and use little words because it's late, and i can't take in a whole lot of information at one time. The pitching distance for 14U and junior high games will be 43 feet in 2011?

I can't understand why they don't just make the jump in all effected ages this year. Why are they waiting till next year for 14u to go to 43'. So next years incoming freshman that are playing 14u this summer are pitching 40', then having to make the jump right to 43' next school year. Or having to play 16u this summer at possibly 13yrs old in order to get use to 43' for next school year. That's just flat messed up!!!!!! These sanctioning bodies don't make a lick of sense!!!!!
