Cincy Slammers 16U is looking to add one more player for the 2016-2017 season.
We have a Very strong core of girls and are looking to add the final player.
We are looking for a '00 and '01 dedicated player willing to work hard, come with a positive attitude and have a strong desire to play high level softball.
Players must be commited to taking outside hitting and pitching lessons and want to work outside of team practices, as well as working on strength, speed and agility training.
We plan on playing 2 indoor winter tournaments and a strong summer tournament schedule ending with Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC in July.
We will play in showcase tournaments focused getting players exposure to college coaches and high levels of competition.
Our team practices in the Mason, OH (NE Cincinnati) area and is coached by Wendell Taylor and Starr Markworth. Our team has access to state of the art practice facilities and will plan to practice year around.
Coach Taylor has 20 years of coaching experience and works to focus on fundamentals taking the players' games to the next level.
Coach Markworth was a college pitcher and has coached for several years. She is able to work with pitchers and give guidance during games identifying issues.
Our coaching philosophy is building players into strong women with great leadership qualities. We have high expectations from players and families, but will not at any time disrespect players. Our team has a very family oriented focus and we work on building that through coordinated team meals at tournaments and keeping the girls together.
We will focus emphasising the importance of success in both the classroom and on the softball field. We understand that if players are not commited to work in the classroom, then their dream of playing softball in college will not be attainable!!
