I don't think Eliott has much influence on the outcome because all he has to do is choose what pitcher to pitch! ?

All the pitchers on that team are VERY good.

Alot of "Good Natured" kiddin going on here. My darkhorse pick would be Ice(Philen) and any LASER NATION team that may be entered!!

Any given day almost any of the teams are CAPABLE of taking a tournament - - - depends on who shows.. the young ladies that attended try outs or those evil twins that tend to appear now and again! ;D

I guess they aren't even in the tournament. Oh well!

Two things about the Bandits that stand out to me are:

1) They throw out the lead runner regularly. The runner being "bunted over" is often a dead duck. I've seen teams years ago do this but not as much anymore
2) Their hitters seem to hit every "fast" pitch in the zone. If its "in there" they put it in play.

although they'll still put up a good game. We'll see on Sunday what these teams are made of.

I think that the show was stolen today by an umpire in the front field. We were in the back field, and we still noticed that he ran all the way from home to third base to make sure he was where the action was on the field. My hats off to him as he made every effort he could to make the right calls.

From the earlier predictions I didn't realize the Spirit was even in this tournament! ?For a young 18 team it looks like they picked up right where they left off last year as 16's. ?Gotta luv the black and gold!
