2010 14U and 16U Benefit Girls Softball Tournament
When: July 30th - August 1st
Where: Willard Park Fields- Willard, Ohio
Benefit: All proceeds from the Tournament will be donated to the care of recovery of Abby Akers.

Abigail Renee Akers is the daughter of Rodney and Jessica (Leber) Akers, of Willard, Ohio. Baby Abby was born with a rare liver disease called biliary atresia. She had surgery in January to help fix the problem, but it was unsuccessful. She is on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Her parents are staying across from the hospital as she remains in the hospital care while she awaits a liver donation. Due to the wait her mom Jessica is about to loose her job and Abby's insurance. All of us involved in running the tournament have never met this little girl, but we wanted to give something!

Tournament: We will run both age groups at the Willard Park. We have (4) fields available. We will follow ASA rules. Umpires will be provided as will softballs. We will have waiver forms for coaches to have completed before play begins in each division. Saturday?s games will be Pool Play. We expect 15 teams in each age bracket. We will have (4) brackets of (5) teams. We will take the top (3) teams from each bracket for tournament play on Sunday. Tiebreaking games will be played off Saturday under the lights at Elks Field.

Cost: $250 per team...this is great cause!

Food: We will have food, drinks and candy available at the concession stands. All proceeds from concessions will also go for Abby and her family.
Softball Apparel 25% of donations going to Abby.
