1st Annual Tippecanoe Strike Out Cancer Tournament

This weekend Tipp City will hold the 1st Annual Tippecanoe Strike Out Cancer tournament.

It will be held at Kyle Park in Tipp City and the following teams will be participating:


Game # 1

Tipp City vs. Dayton Christian 8:00pm Friday

Game # 2

Harrison vs. Newton 8:00pm Friday

Game # 3

Greenville vs. Miami East 8:00pm Friday

Game # 4

Milford vs. Twin Valley South 8:00pm Friday


All teams will play 2 games on Saturday which will be determined by the results of the bracket play.

Fisherback pitched a great game and just about everybody got into the act on offense. 2nd basemen T. Enicks was 4 -4 on the game and almost everyone else had at least one hit. Solid game all the way around for the Lady Wave.

Greenville now 22-3 on the season and they will face Milford at 9:00am on saturday.

What a great game by both teams as hits were at a premium and the wind was blowing in. Greenville JR. J. Fisherback had 28 K's in the win and the sophmore Sarah Alley for Millford pitched a real gem (not sure how many K's but had to be more then 15).

The game was won in the bottom of the 12th when with 1 out Greenville got a bunt single. The pinch runner Nicole Keaser then stole 2nd base. On the next pitch she stole 3rd base and then on a delayed steal she stole home to win the game.


In the Championship game vs Tipp City (who won their first game of the day vs. Harrison 2-1 in 12 innings as well)

Jr. A. Comer gets the complete game win and has a great day at the plate. Freshman SS Kelli Martin had a number of excellent plays in the field as did the rest of the team behind Comer.

Greenville completes the regular season at 24-3.
