14u Valley extreme blue run ruled every team in pool play. I think they were winning 1-0 over pride in quarter final before rain canceled tournament. 16u Lasers were winning also as well as 16u elite. Did pride falter on saturday seems like they should have been playing extreme in final game on sunday. Good luck everyone!

16u Willoughby Starzz defeated the Ohio Pride 6-4 to get into the semis and the Akron Sapphires were playing the KC Diamond for one of the other semi spots when the rains came and the tournament was washed out.

Great Tourney!!! ?Well ran by Darla and Jamie, and the rest of the staff. ?Had numerous rain stoppages throughout the weekend, but they had plenty of help to work the fields and re-line them after and during the games. ?Good umpiring as well, plenty of warmup area, great competition. ?One of the best tourneys I have been to. According to the Tournament Directors they will be discussing how the ASA bids to the Eastern National Qualifier will be handled on Wednesday night. They had to contact the ASA assit. director to find out how to give out the berths. Teams will be notified once the decisions have been made as to how the bids will be awarded! Please give them until at least this weekend to figure it out!

Can anyone list the matchups and scores for the elimination rounds, especially for 14U and 16U? The scores above are nice, but would like to see how the tournament unfolded.

to bad tourny had some good teams at 14u and would have gotten good in the late afternoon.

14u was pride vs valley extreme blue. Valley was up 1-0 in the 2nd or 3rd inning. Winner would have played north coast fire in semis. Don't know the other side of the bracket. Looked like these were the 2 strongest teams from action I saw this weekend. 16u was Akron Sapphirres, Lasers, Elite and 1 more team I dont know.

Sapphires were set to play Rage and the winner of that was to play Tallmadge to get to the final if my memory serves me right
Valley Extreme was playing Pride (up 1-0 top of third) and winner of that to play North Coast Fire for the right to play the winner of the tallamdge game

I'm NOT the official tournament director, but I help with the planning and just to let everyone know there will be Eastern Qualifiying bids given out. We have been in contact with the ASA as to how to handle the awarding of the births. There is no set way of giving them out so we are still in discussion as to determine who won in each bracket. Then we will notify the winner of the bid to see if they want to go to the ASA Eastern Nationals (if No) then we will continue the process down the line until we fine the winner of the bid within in the top 5 teams. NONE of this is set in stone...but we will try to post a ASA bid winner on here by the end of the week! Thanks for your patience on this matter....
