When did the tournament change locations? As the representative for Heisler Park in Goshen, it would have been nice to have received a message or phone call as to this tournament being moved from the original location of Goshen. Can you answer why the tournament was moved? I had to receive the information thru the grapevine for lack of a better term...

Just so your aware we did try to contact you and even had someone come out to the park to make you aware of the problems we were running into with hosting the Nationals in Goshen, Ohio

We have spent the last Month trying to make it work in Goshen but there are some issue that can't simply be fixed. We have invested allot of Time by more then 4 people and we all agree that we had to move.

I will be giving you a call. I have not received any calls or e-mails or pms about any issues holding the tournament at Goshen. You have my cell number and we have spoke a few times in the past so do not understand how you could not have gotten a hold of me. I am at the park pretty much 7 days a week, during the week I am there every evening and on weekends each day unless i have a game with my boys team or girls team I coach.

I regret that the tournament will not be held at Goshen. We try to do everything we can for the kids and that is why we are trying to get tournaments in to be able to make the fields better and add more fields for expansion.

Nothing on your part or Goshen, just to many things to over come to host the event in Goshen in 2009.

You call me and will discuss why we had to pull the event from that location.

I want you to understand that we had four people working on this event to make it happen in Goshen and we spent many hours cleaning up problems after problems and even more problems.

There wasn't any problem with the Goshen facility in hosting this event. Wonderful facility, drains great.

I think the problem was you guys couldn't block off the motel rooms versus Chillicothe ad being the Rec World Series numbers are low... adding elite divisions was a great answer to show th next city the amount of motels room sold... for that 2010 bid money package in Akron area.

There was no problems here. Actually, the only problem is that your event management people wanted the CVB (Convention and Visitors Bureau) to collect the $10.00 for each motel rooms from the motels... instead of billing each motel separately by invoice.

I take exception to the words that you had problem after problem in Goshen or this county. That is real c*r*a*p. MOst CVB's don't get into the contract part with TD's and motels... especially collecting the $10.00 per room from them for a TD's. I can't blame them. A lot of headache for them.

I mean, I still feed you teams that call me about the event .... do I not?

Tim nothing you says in your post, had nothing to do with moving the tournament.

We didn't even try to get a dime from anyone. Not my style.

And the fact that the World Series Numbers are down.

Thats fine with me, I'm willing to pay my due to build this tournament up over the next few years. This tournament will go no matter what my Team count is.

I didn't want to move the 14u and 10u Elite to Chillcothe, Ohio But it was the only chance I seen to get the tournament played.

Extend the Date to take Teams, and go for a 3 day event.

Every move I have made was not about Money or Bids as you stated. It was because I felt it had to be done in order to make sure the 14u and 10u National had a chance to be played.

At this point who known if the IFA 14u-10u Nationals will be played. But I do understand all the draw back to this event.

You known allot more about all this money stuff and contract talk then I do.

And thats just fine with me.

Is there an updated list of 10U and 14U elite teams that will be attending the world series? We are trying to decide one way or another.

DD2012 asking about the 12u-14u World Series or Elite National.

As of today July 20, 2009 we have no Teams in the Elite National but the World Series we have about 8 10u Teams and 10 14u Teams. And we just pick up another 10 under Team today.
