If you go to a previous post it has the link for the allpro website. It was updated very late last night.

Some rain came thru on Saturday nite (while under lights), they had some work to do at main diamonds to finish Saturday games. Sure this most likely slowed down process to get game times and web-site updated while trying to finish Saturday games late...!

I know we delayed at Kingscreek also...(Im sure Dodge park had same scenario...)

Fields were fine for us at Dodge Park starting on Saturday morning at 8:00AM and we played through some light rain later that day until about 7:00PM. There was one game after us at that park, not sure if they were delayed, but the rest of the games on Saturday were played as scheduled, as on Sunday...Very interesting fields, the wind was about 20 MPH stronger on the hill and it felt about 15 degrees warmer down by the fields as well! Long, but fun tournament.

I am not sure of all the results of this tournament, but Hammers Black 16U won the 18U division by pounding out 11 homers in 5 games, including 3 in the championship game against the 18U Force. Excellent pitching by the Hammers too as they only gave us 7 or 8 runs in 5 games.

I am not one to complain on this site, but I have to say that we are in my dd's 5th year into travel ball, and have never been to a tourney quite like this before. First of all, our games were so spread out on Saturday that we had to spend 12 hours at the field. We played half of our games on a field with a baseball pitching mound. The porta pots were overflowing. Litterally. The urinal had urine all the way to the top of the urinal. It was disgusting to say the least. Trash was overflowing. They did clean them sometime between sat and sun, but it was still terrible to have to deal with on Saturday. Our team scored 42 runs and did not allow a run in pool play. It earned us the #1 spot. But you know what that got us in bracket play? To play 4 games back to back in order to win the championship. We have only had to do that when we are knocked out into a loosers bracket. We ran out of steam in the semi's. It was very obvious that they tried to accomodate to many teams in this tourney. I will advocate that our team does not attend this tourney next year.

In the 12u division, the bracket play was an entirely joke. I have never been a part of a tourney where pool play didnt matter cause the brackets were predetermined. This was a very poor ran tourney with the issues as stated above, but I was always under the impression that you were awarded for what you done in pool play. Because of this a team with a 2-3 record ended up in the semifinals. Complete joke of a tourney, with some umpiring not even knowing certain rules. Just saying.

I know nothing of your situation but I know that we were seeded in the bracket as I would expect based on pool play.

Valley Storm 16u Had a great weekend. Excellent pitching rotation, very aggressive baserunning and great hitting all added up for a 2nd place finish. We scored 48 while giving up only 10 all weekend. (6 in the championship game alone).

I have to say I witnessed some great softball this weekend especially at the 16U division. The Ohio Swarm team is the best hitting team I have seen in years. They beat us fair and square and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Saw a great home run by hawks player Jessica Davis at the high school, it must have been a 240' jolt. Another hawks player (Coaches daughter) made an outstanding catch in CF to rob my catcher of a 2 run shot lol. She caught the ball at the fence and fell over the fence yet held on! Great job. Met the Miamisburg Sting coach on Saturday for the first time. Not sure of his name but Great guy with a great bunch of ladies. Good luck this season.

I will say I didn't look at the rest of the seedings. Could be they were out of whack but again I don't know.

The bracket was right. I think one or two of the pools had three teams that were 1-2 but I figured it on runs allowed and it was done correctly. Part of the problem was some of the pool games ended late. Our last game didn't even start until 7:45pm Sat night! Normally by that time everyone knows their Sunday game but it was near dark when we finished and time I texted it in and they got the text and did the math I imagine it was late.

It is what it is. Our issue was that we were the only #2 seed with a winning record (2-1). I believe that all #1 seeds were 3-0. I would like to know how a #2 seed with a 1-2 record got a first round bye. On top of that we played 2 games Sunday morning before the (1-2) #2 seed played their first. I just thought that since we were the best #2 seed we shouldve got the bye. The bottom line is that the best 2 teams played in the championship and thats all that matters. Just wouldve liked to have been alittle fresher when we needed to be. Ultimately we went 3-2, not our best showing, but a 2-3 team was in the semifinals. Like I said, It is what it is. Congrats to Xtreme and Hawks.

VSFP ... understand your point, but I would say that 80-90% of the tournaments I have ever coached or had my DD play in (maybe 50 over the years?) had the brackets set in advance based on where you finished in your pool, and didn't look at how the second or third place teams in different pools did relative to each other. They usually have hard enough time getting all the results in and teams notified without comparing results between all pools. Again, you make a valid point and perhaps the initial brackets weren't as balanced as they could have been.
