2012 Treaty City Tune-Up, May 19th-20th

For the 12th year in a row Ohio Wave Fastpitch will be hosting our Treaty City Tune-Up on this same weekend in May. Over the years we have hosted some excellent teams and we have worked hard to provide a great early season tournament.
The tournament is run at the Stebbins Field Softball Complex and it is one of the finest softball only complexes in the state. The addition in 2009 of the indoor restrooms (heated and air conditioned) and awesome concession stand helped make a good thing even better.
Rules
All rules are ASA standard unless otherwise listed below:
1) Game Length: 7 innings
2) Game Time limit 1 Hour 30 Minutes (No new inning after 1:30 has passed)
3) No games can end in a tie. ITB will be in effect once the time limit has been passed.
4) Run rule: 15 runs after 3 , 12 runs after 4, and 8 runs after 5.
5) Protests must be made to the tournament director and his decision will be final. No protests will be allowed after the game has been completed.
6) DP / FLEX rules apply or teams can choose to bat their entire roster and do free defensive substitutions. Teams cannot reduce or increase the number of batters once the game has started.
7) Courtesy Runners for pitcher & catcher: If a team bats 9 (and or uses the DP/FLEX) then standard ASA courtesy runner rules apply. If a team chooses to bat 10 or more but not the entire roster, then the courtesy runner must be a player that is currently not in the game. If a team bats their entire roster then the courtesy runner will be the player who made the last out. This rule will only apply if the entire roster is batted.
8) There will be NO out charged for any injured player who is unable to bat.
Cost $400 per team
5 GG (weather permitting)
Maximum 32 teams
10U / 12U / 14U Age Groups
? Coolers Allowed
? Camping Allowed
? No Parking or Gate Fees
? NO PROTEST FEE. We want to get the calls right so we'll solve the issue immediately at time of incident.
? UIC and TD on site at all times.
? NO EARLY FRIDAY GAMES
? 2 umpires per game / every game
Teams must be ASA sanctioned and be able to show proof of accidental & liability insurance at check in.
Team and individual trophies for 1st and 2nd place.
