The Bullets bounced back from a slow start to the season to capture the Centennial Conference title and qualify for the national playoffs. After starting the season with just three wins through the first 12 games, Gettysburg exploded for 21 wins over the next 26 contests. The team lost only twice in conference competition and clinched home-field advantage for the first time in 13 years. The Bullets overcame a loss on the opening day of the league tournament to win three elimination games and clinch the CC title in a rain-shortened championship. Gettysburg played well in its first national appearance in 11 years, defeating Messiah College and suffering defeats at the hands of two of the top programs in the country, including eventual national champ Virginia Wesleyan College.
