Indoor Tournament 2nd SESSION OF INDOOR WINTER LEAGUE

The Ohio Dragons are playing in the 12U league now and it has been a great experience. Chris and Gregg have been great about working the kinks out and addressing the needs of the visiting teams. The field is very nice to play on. The infield is regular size, base paths are 60 feet and pitching distance is regulation. OF is 165 feet and I am just waiting for one of the lil dragons to hit it to the wall Nice atmosphere for the whole family. Plenty of observation room and seating for the parents with concessions. No entrance fees, can bring a cooler, but we still visit the concessions to help SDS out. Most teams are playing with 9 on the field.

The only "adjustment" we have made is running through and out on the corners as opposed to straight through 1st and 3rd. This is minor and the kids are adjusting to this. All of the kids on my team and families are stating that this is well worth the drive (from Columbus). The bonus is you drive and get to play 2 games.

The competititon has been good and all of the teams are "working the kids" at the game. It is a great atmosphere. Nice job Chris and Gregg. Ohio Dragons, 12U

Ohio Dragons,

First of all I would like to say that it is a pleasure having your team play in our league. You have a great group of young ladies, very good parents and awesome coaches. It defineitly makes us feel good to read responses like that. Gregg and myself have worked very hard to try and accomidate the needs of every team. So far everything has worked out. When your offering something for the first time, the hardest part is trying to convince everyone how nice the field and facility is. Word of mouth goes a long way. I'm not trying to tute my own horn here or anything but we have had nothing but good compliments from everyone that is playing. We are offering this league at a great price so that we can show off the facility. Once people sees how nice the field is, then we can start having some indoor tournaments.

We are in the process of organizing the upcoming 16U league. We are still looking for a couple more teams to committ. In an effort to accomidate some of the 16U teams, we are changing the format and cost for the 16U division. It will still start on December 29th and it will run 4 weeks. Every team will play 2 games on Saturdays for 4 weeks. An 8 game schedule. We are adjusting the price accordingly to $500. This again is a great price. We will only take 6 teams with three already commited. We are looking for 3 more 16U teams. If your team would like to play, call me at 513-217-7304.

I would like to give my compliments to two of the 12U teams currently competing in our winter league. The Northern Kentucky Bandits and the Ohio Dragons have improved their play through the first 3 weeks. They are both young teams but they work very hard and the improvements they have made is very noticeable. Good luck to them throughout the season!

Thanks Gregg. They are a good mix of 11s and 10s and are definitely improving every weekend. It is a great league to work at the game. We have enjoyed playing in the league. I hope your DD is recovering and is ready to play this weekend. We will see you there.

Thanks Gregg....she's a bit sore. The ER stitched her up and she goes to the Dentist tomorrow to check the teeth. She was very lucky. Thanks for asking and please let your team's parents know how much I appreciated the help at the field and the ER. DD is in good spirits, but bummed that she missed the 2nd game. Hopefully, she will be back on the field next weekend and on the basketball court soon!

This Saturday, Decemebr 15, is our 1st session ending tournament. We've had a very good season and we are looking forward to crowning the SDS Indoor Champions. The first round games include: SDS 12U vs. SDS 13U at 10 AM. The Ohio Hawks vs. the Ohio Dragons at 11:20 AM. The Miamisburg Sting will play the winner of the 2 SDS teams at 12:40 PM and the N. Ky. Bandits will play the Hawks-Dragons winner at 2PM. The Championship game is tentatively scheduled for 3:30. Everyone is welcome to watch. Don't forget to sign up for our 16U session that starts December 29. There is only ONE spot remaining.
