its pretty obvious that coach_r has an axe to grind with the marysville coach for some reason or another.

My bet is that the marysville coach walked the bases loaded to set up a force out at each base and the next hitter got a hold of one. If that was the case I do not see it as over coaching, I see it as trying to get the bext situation to get an out.

Of course if the batter hits a ground ball to the pitcher and she throws it home then the coach is a genious. Such is the profession of coaching.

Greenville's Jr. Pitcher Abbie Shell throws a perfect game 15 up and 15 down. On the season she has 9 shutouts, and has only allowed 1 earned run.

Offense continues to roll. Now 7-1 in the MML

14-2 overall.

I am sorry for that earlier comment, Walking a decent hitter 4 times seems to me a bit on the deep side, and it came back to haunt them in the long run -- Was a great game between two very good teams. (Yes I am parent of the walkie >:( )Let the girls play is all I say.

Its called respect.they was not going to let her beat them.We walked The Big Walnut girl 3 times tonite.#22 her first time up she hit one at least 260.If you had to play Big Walnut you will walk her too.So i say if your DD got walked 4 times she must be one of those girls who can hit the heck out of the ball.Gee I wish teams would do that to my DD.Smile they are saying your DD is one of the few they don,t want to beat them. I know we go to games to watch our kids hit,I am sure you have spent hours and hours hitting. The good out of it is you won as a team.

Coach R: I didn't see your first comment that you must have edited. Let me assure you, if we ever need to walk a hitter intentionally four times (or a thousand times) this summer, we'll be doing it. With the way your daughter has been swinging the bat, she's going to be treated like Barry Bonds. That's part of the game. At least they didn't plunk her four times!

Believe me, be happy you won. We've been on the losing end of two 3-2 games in a row and as you can see, I'm up at 1:15 a.m. and feel nowhere near like going to bed, even though I have to get up at 7:00.

The Westerville South vs. Marsyville game was a great game. Too bad some people have to over analyze it and get negative. Marysville coaches did what they though best, and it didn't work this time. Marysville had too many errors and left too many runners on third (including the 7th inning). Marysville has 7 seniors and some very talented underclassman players, which makes it very difficult to put together a starting line up each game. Two young pitchers are getting the job done and the team is hitting the ball, now the defense needs to step it up reduce the errors.
Great game last night, looking forward to the rematch in a few weeks.

Sending A message to a team

I see that one young lady was walked 4 times. ?Saw a game where the lead-off hitter was hit in the leg the first inning of a game. The opposing team knew she their key player. She had to sit out 1 inning to ice but came back in to drive 2 runs in on 2 hits. The worse part was the girls in the circle were laughing while she was on the ground. ?Bush league coaching. It set the tone for the remainder of the game as the other girls were afraid of getting drilled.
