4th Annual 2011 Ohio Hawks Early Bird

Thank you for your interest in the 4th Annual 2011 Ohio Hawks Early Bird.​

We are trying to keep the entry fee at a minimum and provide a good solid Memorial weekend tourney for teams to tune up. Monday (Memorial Day) will only be used if necessary due to weather.

We will be seeding each age into a Platinum and Gold bracket based on pool play to allow for better competition and more teams to compete in a Championship game.

Tournament Details
Date: May 28-30th , 2011
Location: Kettering Fields, Dayton, Ohio
Sanction: 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u teams.
Format: 3 Game guarantee, 2 pool play, followed by single elimination bracket.
Fee: $325
Gate: $5/weekend pass/adult - 16yrs and older.

Doug you are aware that the High School regionals are that weekend and the state is the next weekend, when you have the ASA dates posted on you early tourney in Dayton. . This would only effect teams that had players still playing.

yea.. don't really like the date, but we have held it for 4 years now and it is what it is .. we get a good number of 10, 12 and some 14u teams .. 16/18 team come just to get the girls that can playing ... a tune up I guess.

Next season, 2012, we are looking to move the USA/ASA to the June 12th weekend (1 week after HS) and the Early Bird on the week before. We hope to turn the USA/ASA into a small 'college exposure' tourney by moving it later that combined with the USA/ASA bid makes it a popular tourney for teams aspiring to go to ASA Nationals... any feedback, suggestions are very much welcome ..thanks!
