I'm posting this because my dd will be at band camp Aug 10th/11th and my wife said since we finally have a weekend off we are taking a mini vacation Aug. 17th/18th before school starts. Kendall is a '97 catcher who has played for me the last five years. I'm smart enough to know when she is smarter than I am and I can't teach her anymore so we are looking for a team/coach that can take her to the next level. She has a success rate around 75% of throwing runners out at 2nd. Bats both right and left. Does not slap yet, again I wasn't smart enough to teach her. She's not big but she is quick and smart. She finished her freshman year with a 3.93gpa taking all advanced placement classes. Softball is her only sport and her only other commitment is marching/competition band. Played third for school ball and can also play first but her love is catcher.

Bonus: since I am no longer coaching our third baseman, ss, and left fielder would like to stay together on the same team with Kendall. So if we schedule a private tryout, I will most likely have 4 total players with me for you to look at. The SS and outfielder are twins and can actually play pretty much anywhere and are interchangeable. They switched positions every game this past summer. They go to a small Christian school that does not have softball so as freshmen they were allowed to play varsity baseball. They ended up being the starting ss and center fielder. They broke offensive records that their older brother set. The 3rd baseman is not fast but is extremely quick. Her name is Alli and I nicknamed her Alli-gator cause she wasn't fast over the long haul but if the ball was within 2 feet either side she was at least knocking it down if not catching it and she plays about 8 ft in front of the bag. She has a cannon for an arm. Don't worry about her getting to 1st because she is a power hitter.

And since this is getting long one last stat, we played 7 games last weekend, we score 36 runs, Kendall and the twins crossed the plate 26 times. Of the 10 runs they did not score they had rbi's for 6 of them. Doing the math they were at least partially responsible for 32 of our 36 runs. And one of the twins, who is 5'2" and 110 lbs hit an over the fence grand slam.

Not saying they have to be a packaged deal but the parents and the girls would be very happy if they could find one team for all of them. And I have a couple more players that may be interested if you would like to take a look at them. So if you are interested please send me an email. hartline@engineer.com

thanks
Kevin

We are a 98 team so probably not best fit unless but you never know. One thing you would have with us is I was myself a former 2 year collegiate catcher in CA and we have an asst coach that is currently the starting catcher at Capital University. We have a wealth of knowledge at that position. Unfortunately we are only looking for a catcher and 1 utility type. But if interested feel free to give me a message and we can see what we can do about a private.

Thanks,
Scott Searing

I would like to say thanks to everyone I either pm, emailed, or talked to on the phone. Three of the four girls have found a home and we are working on getting the fourth a tryout. Good luck to everyone.

Well the fourth girl found a team. Thanks Todd. I'm sure you are going to be happy with her level of play and especially her level of commitment. Just be ready to stay after practice and hit her more balls because she will request it.
