Hello!!
As a member of the 2001 3A Texas State Highschool Championship team, a player in the Big 12 conference in Division 1 softball, breaking Mizzou offensive hitting records, acquiring all-Big 12 selections, All-region selections, winning a Big 12 title, playing in the 2009 Women's College World Series, playing on a top 10 team in the nation in Division 1 softball, getting drafted into the National Pro Fastpitch league-the highest level of competition, getting mentored by one of the greatest softball hitters in the game-Crystl Bustos, and playing for the Akron, OH Racers for 2 years going on 3, I have been able to learn many drills, understand mechanics, develop a mental approach, and truly appreciate the game.

That being said, I am hosting an open coaches clinic to pour out all this information. I am inviting any softball coach and or parent who might want to learn a few more drills, understand the breakdown of the swing (when a ball rises - bat path has to change - the baseball swing will not work consistently), learn new mechanics on infielding/outfielding all with which might be different or new, but "could" help your players. My goal is to simply share the knowledge I have in a hope to make a difference! Softball is my passion and I look forward to not only sharing my thoughts, but also get the opinions from others as well!!!!!

So come out and pick my brain, take notes, ask me any questions regarding infielding, outfielding, hitting, baserunning, and the mental game.

Date: January 22, 2012
Location: Everything Sports Academy: 661 Weber Dr. Wadsworth, OH
Cost: $40 per coach/parent/player
Duration: 3 hours (Hitting, Infielding, Mental Game)
Topics: I will be handing out paper work filled with drills, driections, and practice aspects. I will be physically showing you the hitting drills in a hitting cage, showing you the side toss drills, showing you the machine drills. I will have my glove and physically explaining the infield drills. I will be doing demonstrations allowing the coaches/parents/players to feel what I am teaching. If you can't feel it, you can't fix it.
Surprise: I may or may not have a few goodies to eat as well. Come and see if my baking skills are up to par as well.
Expecatations: Expect to leave with over 22 hitting drills, over 10 fielding drills, and handouts explaining the mental game. I promise to make this worth your time!

My goal is for every coach/parent/player to leave with different drills, different aspects, different concepts, and different ways to teach mechanics. My goal is for you to understand how to get "your" team to play as a team. To "win" as a team.

If you are interested please email me to confirm you are coming mclminner@yahoo.com

I look forward to it!!!!!!!

With regard to sports psychology in the game of softball, I will be including an aspect in this part of the clinic that will cover "How to Handle Parents As a Coach"! Whether you are a coach, travel ball coach, HS coach, or a parent this information will be helpful!!!! I was able to obtain some additional information this past weekend at the Ohio State Coaches Convention from a sports psychologist, Dr. Alan S Goldberg, and I am very happy to share :)

micela:
I was at the State Clinic and listed to all of Dr. Goldberg's presentations. I thought he had some really good ideas.

"I hit really well in practice, but not always so well in games." ?
