I heard that Westland and Reynoldsburg srimmaged today...maybe North can give us details of the game.

Yes, Westland and Reynoldsburg scrimmaged. North worked hard to get the fields ready to go. I'll bet he'll be out there early today getting ready for Mt. Gilead this evening.

Details.....IT WAS COLD!

I hope we get the scrimmage in Tuesday, but the forecast is 50, rain and wind gusts over 40 mph. Yikes!

Thomas Worthington has a few scheduled for this week, but looking at the forecast it could be interesting trying to get them in. Home field has been playable the last two days (varsity at least), but I think we're away until Saturday (by which time it will have probably rained enough to bring the river back to the parking lot....)

Rossford scrimmage with Delta cancelled Monday and again today. Still snow on the field. Trying again at Archbold Wednesday.

Miamisburg 4 @ Covington 2

Both teams played well considering it was probably the first time they had been on a real infield since last year.

They played 8 innings just because they could. I believe both teams got every player in the game. Some rotated to more than one position.

There were some hard hit balls that found the gaps and some hard hit balls that were snagged by some good fielders. No home runs, very few BB. Both teams came to the plate to hit!

I saw a few pairs of metal cleats glimmering in the sunlight. The game appeared blood and injury free on both sides.

There were snow flurries in the 8th inning.... Really!

Northmor will be heading to Lexington today for a scrimmage. Will move indoors if the fields not playable, for a short game scrimmage.

Field HS played a srimmage of sorts today at St Thoams Aquinas. Field's varsity played for 5 innings and won then Field's JV played for 5 and won. They were each going to try for 5 innings more but the girls and coaches were just too cold I think! I know us parents were very cold. Was good to get outside tho and the girls all looked good.

Good luck to all teams braving this cold to play outside. We ended up with an hour delay in starting because as soon as the sun came out and it got above freezing the field started thawing. What looked like a decent field to play on ended up under water and mud very quickly. St Thomas Aquinas went to work and made the field playable for the girls within one hour. Great job on their part.
