Anyone following OGSO?

I just heard that OGSO voted that the 70% rule is in effect. A girl can still pitch the entire game during tournament play. It is still ok to be on more than one roster. So glad to hear they voted this way. Congrats to OGSO. If anyone is following hot stove , they changed their thinking. A player can now be on more than one roster, which means a travel boy can play both , rec and travel. That is great news, now maybe some of the boys will return to their communities and play rec again. Time will tell. Now , if everyone in Hot Stove could just follow the same rules , they would be making some serious strides to bettering the league.

I was a part of the Portage South OGSO vote, not state level though. The 70% will be "strictly" enforced this year, prior it was loose, 68% was close enough.

The one roster rule was overturned, glad to hear Hotstove is doing the same. The kid's need to be able to play with friends and for their dad's and mom's at the local level. Builds pride in their community and school also.

There are no pitching limitations for regular games or tournament play.

Also glad to hear Hotstove changed their rule...but I think it will take some time for them to have boys come back to play at the local level. Honestly, even though I have a son that plays, I have never even heard that it was being considered being changed back except for on this forum. It will take awhile for the word to spread I think.

As far as OGSO not having any pitching limits on their girls....we don't have them in Portage county, but I believe other counties do? Not sure if that was changed at the state level or not.
