The Ohio Edge Fastpitch Organization will host an ASA Eastern National Qualifier to benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure of Greater Cincinnati and support their effort in the fight against breast cancer.
"Susan G. Komen For The Cure - The success of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is made possible through the very generous contributions of corporations, organizations, and individuals like yourself. We appreciate your commitment to our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. With your help we will continue to fund research, education, outreach, and screening programs and deliver the life-saving message of early detection to the community."
The tournament will be at Rotary Park in Beavercreek, Ohio. Rotary is a beautiful park and is host to many softball tournaments throughout the year. Located at 2260 Dayton Xenia Road , Beavercreek, OH 45434. Click HERE for map.
Our goal is to fill this tournament quickly. Please submit the registration form and confirm your spot ASAP.

The schedule is now available to be viewed and printed at 2012 OHIO EDGE PINK OUT SCHEDULE . Click the 'Please Select a State' drop down, then select 'Ohio'. The page will refresh and then click the 'Please Select a Tournament' drop down to select your age bracket for the Pink Out.When you select the age group in the drop down, the pool play schedule is displayed. If you click the 'Bracket' button at the top left you will see the bracket.
All coaches will recieve a '2012 Ohio Edge Pink Out Information' email today that will provide some quick reminders, tournament rules, Rotary Park aerial map, temp fence rules, refund policy and local hotel & restaurant info.

REGISTRATION FORM
- 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U Age Groups
- Cost $375 per team (make checks payable to: "OHIO EDGE")
- Four Game Minimum (weather permitting)
- Three pool play games seeded into a single elimination tournament
- Registration Forms are available on our web site (listed below)
- ASA sanctioned tournament governed by 2012 ASA Official Rules of Softball
- Pool play & elimination games will have a 80 minute time limit, games can end in a tie
- Pool play record and scores will seed your team into the single elimination play
- Pool play on Saturday (7/21)
- Two EP's and free defensive substitution will be allowed during pool play
- Single elimination on Sunday (7/22)
- No time limit on championship games
- Team check in is one hour prior to 1st scheduled game
- ASA sanctioned event (all teams MUST have ASA number and completed signed roster form)
- Must be able to show proof of accidental & liability insurance and have a copy of players birth certificates at check in
- All 1st and 2nd Place Finishers will receive a 2013 berth to their respective ASA Eastern National tournaments
- All 1st and 2nd place finishers receive team and individual trophies
- No Parking or Gate Fees ? in lieu of parking and gate fees, we ask that you make a monetary donation to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure charity. Donation receptacles will be located at the check in tent near the entrance.
- If the tournament is rained out, refunds will be based on (Entry Fees minus Non-Recoverable Costs minus Games Played) divided by (Paid Entries). Please allow two to four weeks for an inclement weather refund.
- No future rainout dates
- UIC and TD on site at all times.
Rules
All rules are standard ASA unless noted below:
1) Game Length: 7 innings
2) Game Time limit 1 Hour 20 Minutes (No new inning after 1:20 has passed)
3) Run rule: 15 runs after 3 , 12 runs after 4, and 8 runs after 5.
4) Protests must be made to the tournament director and his decision will be final. No protests will be allowed after the game has been completed.
5) DP / FLEX rules apply or teams can choose to bat their entire roster and do free defensive substitutions. Teams cannot reduce or increase the number of batters once the game has started.
6) Courtesy Runners for pitcher & catcher: If a team bats 9 (and or uses the DP/FLEX) then standard ASA courtesy runner rules apply. If a team chooses to bat 10 or more but not the entire roster, then the courtesy runner must be a player that is currently not in the game. If a team bats their entire roster then the courtesy runner will be the player who made the last out. This rule will only apply if the entire roster is batted.
7) There will be NO out charged for any injured player who is unable to bat.
