Well, looks like we tied for 7th out of 86 teams. The competition was excellent...I'd say collectively better than what we saw at Easterns last year.

Today:
After about four hours of sleep we headed off to the fields for our 8 am game....fog think as pea soup...lol That quickly burned off by game time...we played the New Lenox Lightning beating them 4-2 in 8 innings ITB. They were an excellent team, well coach, and fine young ladies. Interestingly enough, the coach had befriended me the day before after we fell to Team Indiana. I gave him the scoop about them since they were his team's next opponent. In return, he gave me the scoop about the Oak Stars, who we had as our first loser's bracket game. We both won those games...LOL Thanks again coach!!!!

Our second game this morning was against the Chattanooga Force, who we eventually lost to in the bottom of the seventh 3-2, after holding them 2-1 most of the game....they managed to get us with some small ball in the 7th, and we just couldn't string anything together for our last at bat. Still, we went 8-2 for the week, with a great run at the end. We are really proud of the girls, especially for hanging in there...we just didn't have much left in the tank this morning, but they gave all they had!

Thanks Hitter, MD, and jadawg!

Congrats Doom North. I remember that Chattanooga Force team from NSA "A" in Chattanooga last year, looked like a football team. Great job!

Pickle...yes, they were big girls..:D They didn't really get any big hits like I thought they would from their size...but you could tell the potential was there . We came out swinging the first two innings and put runs on the board, but as the game went on their pitcher began taking more and more time between pitches... using a full 15 seconds between each pitch...may not seem like a long time, but it really messed with the batters...even the umps began to show frustration..lol At times she would walk towards the mound, just about step on it, then step back off, walk to the back of the circle, rub her hand on the ground, then wipe her hand on her pants, then go back to the mound...it was crazy. Whatever..lol

Danger 13 and LCTiger...thanks :)

Chewy... thanks! Here's wishing our sister team good luck at Nationals this week :yahoo:
