Hello I am the new coach for the Ohio Emeralds 16u team, my name is Kara Barnes I've played softball for 16 years including one year in college at Otterbein university. I played travel ball for maddogs and then played my last year for ohio stealth and we were one of the best teams in ohio! I grew up playing first base and then my junior year I was put at 2nd base, when I got to college I started playing outfield! I had to stop playing in college because I tore my Labrium in my shoulder again. This is my first year coaching but I have 16 years of experience so just be patient and trust me when I say my ultimate goal is to make your daughter the best softball player physically and mentally, I'll be the first person to praise them and the first to correct them! Talking about goals again, my goals for this summer is to one get your daughter recruited two be one of the best teams in ohio three to make your daughter an all around better person and softball player! I'm so so excited to be coaching the 16u team and I'm ready to start kicking butt!
