The Celine Wyatt Memorial scholarship fund will once again be rewarding a female college bound softball player a $1000 scholarship. You do not have to play collegiate softball to receive the scholarship. You must be an Ohio softball player, have a coaches recommendation, a minimum 3.2 GPA, complete a 250+ word essay, and agree to a panel interview if chosen as a finalist. Last year we had over 50 applications and 3 very worthy finalists that made it really tough on the committee. This year we would like even more applications! You can apply at the following link: https://app.smarterselect.com/programs/25678-Muskingum-County-Community-Foundation

Since 2014 we have awarded $2500 in scholarship money http://www.leaguelineup.com/miscinfo.asp?menuid=35&url=celinewyattmemorialtournament&sid=395019215
The scholarship fund is through the Muskingum County Community Foundation, a non-profit organization. The Celine Wyatt Memorial Tournament has raised apx. $30,000 in 2 years to assure this scholarship lives on for our lifetime. The goal is to increase the amount given or create 2 scholarships in the future.

Thank you and good luck!

Thanks Dave. People that know the Wyatt family personally, such as myself and many others, find it very easy to invest in the memory of a great kid who did everything with a passion. We try to put that same passion into the tournament and the scholarship process to carry on Celine's memory in the community and the softball community. We felt like there is no better way than rewarding athletes who share that same passion. To put in perspective, this 11 year old little girl now has a tournament, an organization, an indoor softball facility, and a scholarship dedicated to her memory. She may have left this earth much too soon, but who wouldn't be humbled by leaving such a tremendous legacy behind? If we can help this wonderful family sleep just a little better at night knowing their child is in gods hands and gods strength is guiding us to remember her and what she was all about, then it really is an easy thing to do.
