We were there 3-4 years ago. Good competition. Not much exposure unless something changed.

8-10 years ago was one of the bigger tourneys in the region ... was a ASA/USA qualifier and teams would even come in from Cali to try to get their bid ... haven't heard anything about in the last several years ...

Ditto on all above.........it used to be one of the big tournaments with great competition but I haven't heard much about it in the last 8 years or so.

This Tournament or GAPPS?.....Is there a huge difference in competition, exposure, and the all around experience?

For softball, go with GAPSS. But, for a family adventure, it is a great opportunity to go to Niagara Falls. If you have your passports, I would go to the Canadian side. The Falls at night is a neat experience.

I do not have a passport so the falls will be seen from the homeland. Im excited about the tourny though. New teams and faces im assuming to go against. Im hoping no one thought i was slamming Rosies or anything, never my intent. Just hadnt heard of it and needed some info from the ofc team. Thanks for all the feedback yall. Best of luck to everyone this year. Hope to run into some of you during the season.

I know this is a over generalization but when the dd was 11 we played a ASA eastern regional in PA and the NY team that was there was so loud and so obnoxious and arrogant that I still have negative memories about NY softball. And that was 7 years ago.

The only NY team my dd has played against was New York New Era...... very good team, girls were very respectful. Do u remember the ny team you are referring to? Feel free to pm me.

Rosie's is a big tourney for the area (WNY). I know that in years past, as others have explained, it had big exposure. I'm not sure what has changed. I know this year at 14U we considered staying back to play instead of traveling because the teams list was looking good.

If you want to do anything outside of softball I can direct you to the best food places :D

The falls from the US side may not get a good view of the horseshoe itself, but you are feet from the rushing water on the American side. I mean, 2 - 4 feet at times. Hold your kids tight, the railing is just for looks. Growing up out here my mother used to say "the water called you" to us as young kids. I never understood what it mean when I was young. Now that I am old, I know what she means. It really is breathtaking.

Again, feel from to message me with any questions or suggestions.
