Hi Everyone,
I am excited to announce to the OFC community that Avrey Steiner, 2018, has verballed to the University of Illinois! Many of you know Avrey with her days at Thunder Elite 00 and, now, the Beverly Bandits Demarini 16u so it's exciting to see an Ohio girl have an opportunity to make an impact in the Big 10. Not only is Avrey an incredible talent at 2b, and at hitting from the left is side, she is also a 4.0 student, a great leader, and friend. She garnered a lot of attention from many college coaches but decided being an Illini was best for her education, athletics, and family.
On a personal note, I want to thank Avrey for her unselfishness she has shown towards other girls in the Thunder Elite organization as she always offers to help out at practices and mentor the younger girls.
From me, and all the families of Thunder Elite Fastpitch, we want to say "Congratulations Avrey!"
