Does anyone have a revised field map of Berliner Park? Did they put in another "hub" this winter?

I contacted them yesterday. They are in Colorado running a tournament and didn't know that there was a problem. The site is up and running as of this morning. All schedules and directions are on the site.

Hard to believe everything was canceled today - Friday. The rest of the weekend doesn't look much better.

Agreed! I thought for sure we could get out there later in the afternoon.

We were at the field after the early afternoon rain and the fields didn't look too bad. A wet vac and some rakes would have done wonders. It rained later in the afternoon so it may have been a mute point...

Chain Reaction team, are you out there? Today, 6-12-10, your pitchers were warming up against the outfield fence and a ball went over and hit a car so a few of our parents sitting in there cars got out and asked the girls to move down and they did not. Now, after being asked to move they throw another ball over the fence and break the windshield out of a car and the girl that did it tells the coach, thank you for doing that by the way, and the coach just shruggs his shoulders and moves on like oh well, who cares its not my car. I think someone should pay for this windshield, if not the girl that did it, which is who it should be, then the team organization should or the coach should. Since when does a team warm up pitchers against the outfield fence anyways, especially toward a parking lot? I feel all would have been fine if there was an apology from the girl or coach but there was not, would you or any of your parents like to have a broken windshield? This is not a class act at all and hopefully you guys will stand up and do what is right and replace this ladies window.

Word of advice: NEVER PARK ANYWHERE NEAR A FENCE AT A SOFTBALL GAME!

Better word of advise , warm up away from parking lots. It is one thing to have a car hit by foul balls, we all understand that, but not by someone warming up and throwing multiple balls over the fence. The coach should have moved them the first time.

Not to mention again, these were pitchers warming up not the team throwing to get loose. Another question would be, why are the balls flying over a 6 ft. high fence by pitchers warming up? Regardless though, when a car was already hit, then players were asked to move down, the coach should of taken control. An apology was all that was needed anyways. Sure hope one of their windows never gets broken - LOL. Very classless team on the part of the coaches and players!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can check their web site. Not sure if it is updated, they have had a heck of a time dealing with all the rain. Some teams got a few games in, but I heard some didn't.

This has been sad.
I understand about the weather, but when you have 10s and 12s getting their games in and you have 16s and 18s cooling their heels when they have college coaches coming to see them this is just unacceptable.
The younger ages have already had 2 months of tourneys they could have been bumped to the the older age groups handled.

And even now to be sitting in a hotel room for 2 plus days, a day off work for one stinking game.

Weather stinks. . .understand it makes things difficult, but really. . .where the h.e.l.l. is the communications. No updates for the rain line for over and hour after the time stated. . .Coaches have to stand in a single line to obtain new play times. Glad some teams have gotten in four games, but we have only played one and I know the Tidal Waves have played 0.

Ode to joy. . .get to wake up at 5 am to c if we are playing at 8 am. . .But hey it's softball season and gotta love at least getting to play a game.
