Wow obviously innocent until proven guilty, one would think with the recent AD's being caught doing stuff, one wouldn't even think about it....... Lose a career over 6k though? I've always told my boss if I ever thought about it, you'd never find me, it would be big......lol I'd be in Tahiti or somewhere......

The irony is that BC fired a head football coach a few years back for the exact same thing.

This is a sad story,
I feel for his DD..Her senior year should be about having fun, making good memories and a chance to make it back to the finals.

I hope this is an accounting error and the missing money is in the account like Mr. Alvelo states. He had to know there would be some pissed off parents if you fundraise since December for a spring break trip and it does not happen.

I can’t believe there was not a parent committee overseeing the fundraising along with a softball booster rep reporting out at monthly booster meetings. If he was doing all the reporting that was a big mistake on everyone’s part.

Looks like he has only been a HS coach for a couple seasons.

The one article quotes Alvelo as saying the money is all accounted for and it's in the account. If that is the case, why would he resign? I sense some kind of impropriety here, otherwise he would not resign.

He would've known before a week before and obviously the parents expected enough in the account to go... I'd think all plans were made long before the week before.
