My DD had a blast playing for Jason and the Heat 02 this year. She loves her coach and teammates. Jason is a great guy and coach. He has done wonders with the girls this year. They really seem to respond to him and the other coaches. We are light years better that we were in the fall. I feel that this team is really building something special.

Buckeye Heat 00 enjoyed another good season playing one of the best schedules in Ohio. For the 3rd year in a row this group was selected to play Lasers, Stingrays and GAPSS as well as playing ASA States again. We will conclude our season this coming week in Chattanooga playing ASA/USA Nationals for the 2nd time in 3 years. Also went as a 10u team in 2010. For 2014 making the jump to 14u but plan on playing the same competitive schedule. We are looking to expand our roster from 10 to 11 plus one player has decided to pursue other important things in her life. So we will be looking to add 2 players. All positions including pitcher will be considered. Just looking for a dedicated girl who can fit and help the team. Head Coach has 15 years experience and also coaches varsity High School. Assistant Coach has 3 years experience. Neither coach has a daughter on the team. Also have a part time assistant that is a current player at Kent State. For more info on the Heat 00 contact Brian Anderson at ba43230@yahoo.com

Buckeye Heat 96 – Kurelic had a very successful 2013 season finishing with a winning record in every tournament, winning almost 70% of our games, and doing so against a very challenging schedule. The team is looking forward to our move to 18u and will be playing a great schedule of college showcase type tournaments for maximum recruiting exposure. Plans for the schedule include Lasers, GAPSS, Best of the Best and more. Head coach is a former head softball coach at one of the biggest schools in the state of Ohio and has been coaching for over 30 years. For more information contact Bill Kurelic at bkurelic@insight.rr.com or (614) 668-4839.

Below is some highlights from this past year.

Our schedule this year was

Marion Summer Rebellion 7-0 champs
Dayton Metro 2-4
Laser Nation 3-3-1
Fire in the Sky 4-2
Buckeye Showdown 4-1
Gaps 4-1
WFC world series TBD.

24-12-1 thus far

We look to have a similar schedule this year, hoping to add Stingrays. We didn't get in last this year. Looking to qualify for nationals of course. We also want to take in a fall tournament, along with a winter league.

Our needs are catcher that can play another position, a pitcher to add to rotation, utility with speed. All with great bats would be a bonus!

The Buckeye Heat 97 team will be looking to replace a catcher that has left to play 18U next year. She has college offers and decided to compete at that level for the experience. We wish her the best of luck.

We are returning from the 16U ASA/USA Nationals, and will be playing a difficult schedule again next year at 16U. This year, we played in Stingrays, ASA States, Sparks, PGF Firecracker in Indianapolis, Lasers PGF, and Dayton Metro.

We have been invited to the Outlaws Fall Brawl, and will also be heading to Morehead State for a round-robin in a few weeks.

We will be looking for that #1 catcher with all the attributes to replace her. Also could use a utility player with speed.

We would rather hold an individual tryout with the right player. Please email buckeyeheat97@gmail.com or call 614-207-6390

Buckeye Heat 01 - Gill returns a strong core of girls from this year. Although being all 01's (11's) we competed very well through a very competitive 12u schedule this past year which included Laser Nation, GAPSS and the North American World Series. We will continue to play a competitive schedule next year which will include tournaments this fall and applying again for Lasers, Stingrays (which we played in as 10's), and GAPSS. We will also play other competitive ASA tournaments and go to nationals.

All positions will be considered as we currently have versatile athletes and are looking to add more. A main focus will be a pitcher to go with our two returning pitchers and depth in the middle infield.

For additional information contact Nick Gill, 614-570-2202 or db8361@dragonbbs.com

Heat '02 finished the summer at 28-13-1 and will be playing ASA "A" Eastern Nationals next week in Findlay. We were Co-Champs at the Marion Summer Rebellion ENQ, won the Greg Miller Memorial ENQ in Findlay and the Fremont Frenzy ENQ. Placed 3rd at the Donna Newberry Memorial ENQ in Cambridge and at the Pickerington Fastpitch and Fireworks. We also played GAPSS. Next season we will be playing an ASA schedule and will apply for showcases. We will either play in an ASA National or the SEAA World Series in TN. We are looking for 5-6 girls to add to our already solid core. Returning players are versatile so all positions are open. We do have a specific need for a number #1 pitcher that is looking for a lot of innings. Would also like to add a big bat and more speed. If you have any questions or need to set up a private tryout please feel free to contact me either by PM, jasoncellar@yahoo.com or 740.361.2327.

The 14U Buckeye Heat 99 - Yeater will be looking for 2-3 players for the 2014 team. Needs include a pitcher, catcher and a speedy utility player. We usually practice on Sunday evenings throughout the fall and winter...then a mid-week practice throughout the summer tourney season. As most of our current players are from north central Ohio, we usually practice just outside of Lexington...which is about 45 minutes north of Columbus. We will likely play a couple fall tourneys, and possibly a fall league...2-3 winter tourneys..then 7-8 summer tourneys. Any further questions can be directed to my email at ksy2268@aol.com
