2017/2018 TRYOUTS
Tryouts will be held Saturday August 12 at Concord Park (6299 Home Rd, Delaware, OH 43015). There will be a morning session running from 9-12 and then an afternoon session running from 1-4. 10U-18U will be trying out at the same time on four different fields. Online registration will be up and running shortly which will allow for a much quicker check in. Please keep checking back for further updates. The Buckeye Heat Fastpitch organization has been an active member of the fastpitch community since its founding in 2000 as the Worthington Heat. From a one team organization, we have grown to support teams at every age group from 10U through 23U/18O. Our teams are based out of Central Ohio, but compete at venues throughout the state and nation. We believe that serious competitive fastpitch should be fun as well as educational, and try to select girls, families, and coaches that share that belief.

Buckeye Heat has a super group of coaches lined up for the 2017/2018 season. Lots of experienced coaches in this group that are passionate about the game and know how to make your daughter better. If you have specific questions please feel free to contact these coaches...

This will be a non-parent coached team that will play a schedule that is intended to give the girls a good introduction to travel softball. We will play 2-3 fall tournamant1, 1 winter tournament, and 4 tournaments next summer plus ASA "A" Eastern Nationals.

2017/2018 Buckeye Heat 07 10U will be holding private tryouts now and up to our organizational tryouts on August 12th. We look to put together a competitive team for next season and plan on playing some 10U(A) tournaments. Fundamentals, learning the game and having fun is our goal. [Coach 2000]

Buckeye Heat 2000-McCleary will be making the move to 18U this coming fall. Our team consists of all 2018/2019 grad dates that are looking to all play at the collegiate level. Team has a good following of college coaches from all levels. Will look at '01,'00, and '99 birthdates. Team will play 2 fall tournaments with 6-7 tournaments in the summer of 2018 with a National at the season's end.

Team has obtained a couple sponsors that will help with costs. Only expense will be for tournament fees and practice facilities. Estimated fees to be about $800.

We are looking for an additional pitcher that will get a good amount of mound time, and outfielders with speed. Slapping is another skill we will look for.

Buckeye Heat 02 George will be moving up to 16U for the 2017/2018 season. All positions will be considered, with an emphasis on a #1 pitcher, middle infielder, first base and an outfielder.

***BUCKEYE HEAT '04 - Yeater***

The 14U Buckeye Heat Yeater team will be looking at all positions. This team will be coached by former Tiffin University Assistant Coach Shayne Yeater and former Fairmont State and Tiffin University player Taylor Yeater. Several current collegiate softball players will be helping as well. A strong foundation of fundamentals will be taught, but work outside of our team practices will be required of all athletes on the team, whether on your own or thru private instruction. We will be looking for athletes that want to play at the highest level, put the team first, practice hard...but play harder, and looking to further their playing careers collegiately.

I have been coaching fastpitch for twenty years and have taken two teams previously from 14U to 18U, and am proud to say that over twenty of those players went on to play at the collegiate level. We will practice weekly throughout the Fall and Winter and will look to play several Fall tourneys as well as several Winter tournaments or friendlies. Next summer we will play a tough schedule of ASA and PGF tournaments in preparation for a season ending Nationals.
