Our Ohio State Lady Buckeyes softball team is playing at home today in the Buckeye Invitational.
They play Central Michigan at 3PM then host Kent State at 5PM. Should be some excellent games.
Does anyone plan on being in attendance? I'm going to try and make it to the 5PM game against Kent State.

The teams and games were alot different today then what is on their schedule. OSU beat Kent State on Friday 2-1 in 8 innings. Today OSU beat Robert Morris 8-3, I believe. The 3PM game today had Pittsburgh run rulling Youngstown State 8-0. The 5PM game had Kent State playing Youngstown St. It 6-3 going into the top of the 3rd, when we left. It was a very cold day of softball at Buckeye stadium. There is a full schedule of games on Sunday, I think OSU plays at 3PM.

The Pittsburgh and Kent State should be a good ballgame. Both teams hit the stuffings out of the ball yesterday. ?I thought OSU played RMU yesterday, I must have looked at the schedule wrong. ?Still should be some great softball, got me excited about scrimmages for next week,

Pitt and Kent State was a pretty good game with Pitt pulling away at the end. Errors and not making routine plays was involved in both sides, they were probaly as cold as the people in the stands were.
I noticed that the cost of a Coke made up for the free admission, WOW!

We stayed for the Youngstown State-vs-Robert Morris game--actually just the first inning and a half. Youngstown State scored 10 in the first inning. They pulled one pitcher when the score was 2-0 and no outs with two runners on base. They pulled the second pitcher when the score was around 9 or 10 to put the first pitcher back in.

Pittsburgh looked great against Kent State winning something like 4-1. Pittsburgh went undefeated and run ruled one team. I am guessing they won the tournament, but they would not know until the outcome of the final OSU against Robert Morris. If OSU won, they will probably need a tie breaker to determine the winner of the tournament.

How many runs did OSU score against Robert Morris in the last game of the tournament?

It was 11-2. OSU had a couple HR and couple of double. RM never changed pitchers and she feel apart.

RM's other pitcher warming up got crushed by Youngstown, changing pitchers would'nt of helped. RM's starting pitcher did hold OSU down for a while and was effective without her change-up working but 3 looks without offspeed won't work.

We were wondering if RM had any other pitching. The two pitchers we saw in the first inning against Youngstown really struggled to get an out. It doesn't help when it is cold out. Is it true that curveballs (and maybe other pitches) don't curve as much in the cold?
