Good luck to Erin at TN. One of my high school players got a job at TN and the softball program. She has nothing but good things to say about Ralph and Karen.
Thank you. The Ohio softball community has been so supportive of Erin. I appreciate that.Good luck to Erin at TN. One of my high school players got a job at TN and the softball program. She has nothing but good things to say about Ralph and Karen.
Since I have no personal knowledge of OSU recruiting ( I have met Coach K at camps and clinics), I'm thinking they just aren't don't have an "A" game when it comes to recruiting Ohio girls. I think that is changing as evidenced by the increasing number of Ohioans on the roster. But since Kim Reader left, (CA girl) the pitching has been horrendous, mostly because of injuries, and OSU has been scrambling for somebody, anybody, to put in the circle. And that shows in the results. Two last thoughts -- I would think that a school with the supposed resources and devotion to athletic excellence that OSU is would be more effective in building a deep program. Second, that school up north seems to be successful with an awful lot of Michigan girls on its roster who are playing important roles. Why isn't it done in Columbus? Is it coaching?
Best of luck to Erin ... nice to meet you Steelers fan .. just one request .. NEVER .... EVER .... NEVER sing that dreadful Rocky Top stuff lol !
PS After seeing Jenna Modic pitch I'm not convinced she couldnt have been an OSU recruit .... she is really really good. Miami of O got a steal there.
Jenna is a great person and a great pitcher . They still will have a girl by the name of Paige Meyers down there that's not to shabby!Modic is a great pitcher! She will probably be Miami of OH's starting pitcher with this being Jessica Simpson's last season. They sure did get a great recruit in Modic.
Hay hay, don't you know Ohio girls can't play with the big dogs.
Time will tell with Gabriel...
I hope she is a standout at TN.
Hay hay, don't you know Ohio girls can't play with the big dogs. That's exactly an example of why I started the topic. Now with that said, did they ever talk to her?
If it was a bigger importance sport, coach would have been gone, also after reading above about pitching coach, why would you mess up what you brought in throwing wise? Enhance it yes, but don't break it. Know another D-1 that made a kid with a rocket arm as a fielder change and the motion blew her rotator. Why mess with what you brought them in for????
If TN is so deep in pitching why wouldn't Erin go to a MAC or D2 school where she could possibly be their stud 4 year pitcher? I know playing for TN is pretty prestigious and quite an honor to be recruited there but I bet Erin, like all athletes, do not like sitting the bench.
I guess why wouldn't you go to a school where you have a higher percentage chance of actual playing your 4 years of college?
