I've heard that Shawnee's pitcher is back from a tough injury and is pitching well. Saw them against Bath last year. Clearfork was very good a couple of year's ago. They had a "lights-out" pitcher. I don't know much about Clearfork this year, and absolutely nothing about Licking Valley. Can anyone enlighten me?? Thanks!

Clearford was 5-10 when we run ruled them 11-1 . They have played great since, but it's not pitching. Speed, they have 3 kids with more than 90 stolen bases in local paper, one close to 50 by herself. You will get a steady diet of lefty slappers and if you don't play good defense in the infield you are in trouble. They beat Perkins by making them make mistakes. Clearfork is very young, SS is a SR, with a very good bat and a four year starter.

licking valley is very young but dont let that full you.they start 5 freshman who all are very good.middle infield is week,first base week.bats are very impressive.2 players frrom laser golds 14u asa/usa national championship team,cather,caughenbaugh and pitcher/dh and verbal commit to louisville mcombs,she will not be pitching due to injury but im sure her bat will be in the lineup.the best bats are probably mcombs,caughenbaugh,and another freshman skeese.locke is another freshman with an excellent bat.pitching will not over power you.
coaching is very good and very aggressive.hope that helps.also they problably have over 30 homeruns as a team.

I watched Lima Shawnee and Keystone go at it last year, before our game. I think all the Regional games last year in Bucyrus were decided by 1 run. It was great softball, so I plan on watching this year , but from the stands!

Rankings are meaningless and much maligned, but the Bucyrus Regional has #1 playing #9 and #5 playing #8. You can forget the ranking and say four of the best D-2 teams in Ohio will be in Bucyrus this week (although that would be the case for all teams that make it to the regionals)!
