Bushnell Speedster Radar Gun Accuracy

I have a Bushnell gun and have also experienced it being a little off compared to the Jugs gun. ?To the best of my knowledge adding 3-5 mph to your Bushnell readings will give you readings similar to a Jugs gun. ?But, who says that the Jugs gun is correct, maybe we should be taking 3-5 mph off of the Jugs reading, to get a more accurate speed. ;D

I used my Jugs next to a college coach who had a Bushnell and my reading was typically about 2 mph faster. One would think the Jugs would be more accurate since it's a lot more expensive.

Joe your right, for the money the jugs gun should be more accurate. But if all I have to do is add 2 mph to my Bushnell to get a Jugs reading, boy am I glad I saved myself the thousand dollars. LOL

jugs guns show the fastest speed, bushnell does the average speed the object moved. if you watch the bushnell gun you will see the fastest speed before the average shows up.

I have wondered the same thing. I have had two fathers tell me that the Bushnell gun I am using to clock their daughter must be reading incorrectly because she throws 2-3 MPH faster typically. Isn't there a Radar tuner fork that you can use to check your gun's accuracy? If so, does anyone know where to get one?

Jugs is correct Bushnell reads about 3-5 mph off (slower).Bushnell will also eat up batteries, but good value for the price it costs. 8)

The Jugs gun takes an average over a larger portion of the ball path. The Bushnell and other cheaper guns will only pick up the ball as it gets closer....and slower.

If you want to save even more money, you can pay about $50 for a "glove radar" which will also give consistent, yet slower readings. I had someone use mine in one hand attached to my glove and in the other hand hold a gun. The glove radar was always 3 mph slower.
