Leslie Matlock is a 10u coach is coming off an undefeated regular season AND tournament championship with the Vandalia Recreation program. Leslie was a Gold level travel player who traveled the country competing with Miami Valley Xpress Gold. She will be focusing on fundamentals and development with her assistant coach, Justin Pickle. Joe Alexander is our new 12u coach is bringing his team from an independent organization (Miami Valley Gems) to be part of the Butler family. Joe and his assistant Jon Woodie, have a combined 20+ years of coaching experience in martial arts, baseball and softball. His team is moving up from 10u and will primarily consist of 1st year 12u players. His team will have a heavy focus on development and will be competing at the C level. Crystal White is a current coach with BBSC and will be returning for her 2nd year with the Butler organization. She has 15+ years of coaching experience (softball, cheerleading, and basketball) under her belt and is a OHSAA and USA Umpire. Also returning are Amber White, a former premier level travel player and 4 year Varsity Butler HS Alum, and Sarah Betten, a former college outfielder at Butler University. Doug Massie is our 14u head coach this year. He and Dave Chastain are joining us from the Canes organization and have been coaching longer than all of us!! They both have decades of experience as non-parent coaches, as well as hitting and pitching instructors.
