The Northwest Sliderz 10U wrapped up their season at the Castalia (OH) Showdown over this past weekend. This was a first year tournament and there is promise for future years. The 10U pool consisted of only 5 teams. Other teams included Lady 83, Bellevue Blaze, and Pier 53. The Sliderz and Lady 83 battled it out for the championship and Lady 83 came out on top with a 4-2 victory. Kudos to Lady 83 for making fine defensive plays during the 6 inning affair. Good luck to the Castalia folks as they make plans for year 2 of the "Showdown".
