Kind of a funny story about her, her dad is an assistant coach and she's a catcher and 3rd basemen all last year until our last 2 games at Stingrays... I asked her to play CF because she's so fast and we were getting blooped to death. So she plays it for 2 games and I tell her dad that's her natural position does she like it? He says if that's where her team needs her she loves it...I'm thinking ok I'm not getting anywhere with him lol, so I asked her "Do you like CF? She says if that's where you need me, I love it" again not getting anywhere. So I asked her a different way and she says " I never really thought about what position I like playing, I just play where you put me" Eventually she said she liked it, when they hit balls to her. Lol I wish I could get my DD to have that attitude!

Great story. Those are the kids you like to be around. Teams win type of attitude. Outfield can make or break you as the hitters get stronger.

Uber_Jones "We enjoyed ourselves, nice tournament Tony and Central Ohio Ice, hopefully you run it again next year... Nice Job!"

We could not agree more! It was only our 2nd weekend playing this fall and got to see some real nice Teams! Fear Factor was the best and showed in winning it all. But I was impressed with the Stingrays 11U-Gunter Team. They were very well coached and the players kept playing until the last pitch. They will be a Team to watch in the spring. Central Ohio Ice thanks again for the hard work.

Thank you to all the players, coaches, parents, umpires and fans of the game that came out this past weekend to participate and support our 1st Annual Fall Chiller tournament. I appreciated all of the kind remarks on our tournament all weekend and even today on the OFC. We will definately start planning for this again next fall and look to make it bigger and better than this year. We are always open to suggestions, comments and critiquing as we are looking to make our Fall Chiller the premier fall qualifier in the state of Ohio.

Please send me a PM, email me at witter9@hotmail.com or call me at 614-582-4706 any time with suggestions that will make this tournament better year after year.

Also, I will be updating the website this evening as soon as I can get access to my home PC (DD is on it now) so you can view the actual results from bracket play on Sunday.

Once again I want to thank all of you that came and participated/supported our 1st Annual Fall Chiller and congratulate all of the 1st and 2nd Place teams and I look forward to seeing some of you next weekend and most of you next summer.

Thanks again,
Tony Witter

Thanks coach! We have a long way to go but took a lot of positives from this weekend. I also agree with the comments that it was a very well run event!

Tony,

Thanks for all of your hard work on the Fall Chiller. Without Tony's efforts this event never would have happened. Thanks to all the teams that played in the tournament and the kind words on how it went. As Tony mentioned we are planning to make this an annual Fall qualifier and would like any comments good or bad to help us improve the tournament in the future. Good luck to all teams the reminder of the Fall and Winter preparing for next Summer.
